the fact that the whole story is an allegory for mental health, which happens inside your brain, makes this theory even stronger.
I do believe this is the new logo. But going back to the color thing, orange makes sense but also purple. Both colors have shown up before, together ironically enough. The Pet Cheetah music video, which has connections to the lore and different brain sides working together to balance (math for time and music for the writing process) has been a bit of a theory because it’s the odd one out on trench. 🧡💜
If we get a closing album with nothing but pet cheetah type songs I would die. I love that song xD

Everything since Blurryface is religious. By the time you get to trench it's more obvious especially with songs like Niko and the niners. Hell ride is literally talking about falling and enjoying the ride

I honestly think the new colors are going to be black and white (going from saturation to desaturation, Tyler did allude to the next album being like Redecorate vibes, dark tones). If you look at their recent social media for the past few months and their outfits, black and white has been a reoccurring theme. But great job on figuring out the logo because I honestly didn’t figure that out and I don’t think most of the clique has caught that until you pointed it out (which is saying a lot lol)
Been thinking this too. Tyler also mentioned that alot of his albums are reactions to the previous ones. He likes to prove he can switch lanes. A reaction to the colorful scaled and icy would be black and white.
I agree with a lot of this theory and I think having a purple |-// would be sick. However I'm not sure about having the secondary color being orange. It make sense with the lore but to me the colors don't work super well together and they kinda feel too halloweeny. I think instead this era will be purple and a bright cyan. This would represent the fire started in The Outside music video. I think the dema fire will be a huge part of the storyline of the era so it would make sense to represent that in the era's colors. Also I think purple and cyan is a cooler combination than purple and orange but that's just my personal opinion lol

I've always liked the idea that the first straight line represent God and then the diagonal is the deviation of man from God and then there is the piece connecting God to man. In trench the double lines is representing turning it from an individual struggle to being joined with family friends. Tyler has stated that Trench was partly an exploration of a world without God, so the line representing God became doubled representing replacing that with more people.
The potential logo seems to me to be a mash of the two. Having a support system and people around us lifting us up but then also having the singularity of God as a constant in our support.
The part about the left side brain being mathematical and the Nicolas Bourbaki connection got me 🤯 Great video as always! |-/

I enjoy a good deal of scaled and icy. I want a purple era next. That’s my favorite color but orange does make sense.
I’m totally with you on this. I felt like we got a bit of the orange color scheme during trench era, so it could be a part of this next album cycle. Purple has always been apart of the Heathens song, so it isn’t new to their color scheme either. Both totally work. I feel like the |-// logo is it. And it also ties in the SIA logo if you switch them all around: \-|-/ (just imagine that middle line is longer. 😂)

If we could also get an album that sounds like a combination of Trench and Blurryface that would be pretty exciting also. I also would be interested in them going in a completely different direction though. It will be very interesting to see what we get!

I find this SO fascinating. I have speculated this same theory from the song Blasphemy: "I start to part two halves of my heart in the dark" "one half of my heart is free, the other half of my heart's asleep". When I was listening to it one day a few years ago, feeling very mentally imbalanced and dissociated from being in a dark place in my life, I felt like my heart/brain/emotions were very heavy on the right side of my body (left brain). The right side of my body continues to feel heavier emotionally to this day than my left side often. Last year it popped into my head that maybe this is due to a real chemical imbalance involving the two sides to the brain, logic vs emotion, explaining why I can energetically feel the difference. I'm also a very deep sensitive empath. And this is part of the reason why I love twenty one pilots so much. I feel this unspoken connection to Tyler's lyricism, like we're similar. I feel like tøp understands the way my brain and heart works and I have yet to find an artist that touches my soul the way their music does

Such a great theory, and it would be amazing to hear a album sonically between trench and blurryface, arguably their two best albums.
I think some of the new era lore will tie into Vessel. Like the island in the outside's music video (Vulcan) being the Island of violence mentioned in Migraine.

Tyler creates a path to his earlier music , he finds a way to get his message out ii , when people find his popular music that’s more recent , people look backwards towards their earlier stuff which is better , and that leads them to vessel and finally self titled, which is the most Godly of his music . That is the entire point , to capture peoples attention with pop , and get them to travel Tyler’s path he’s created towards God ii .
It could also always end up being green for the era as well. It's a more mild yellow in hue, but also red is the color across of it on the color wheel. With the phrase "the grass is always greener on the other side" could play a part, since trench would want the goal to cross to the other, more safe, side, and save those from dema and help them cross the color wheel of red to yellow in order to enter the safer, and greener, world.

Thing is, the Blurryface era logo had red on the right (slanted) side, but this theory flips it, having Blurryface (Dema, red) on the left side and Trench on the right (slanted) side--
wait, scratch that. I just thought...
In their logo, the slanted side stands for creativity, it breaks the symmetry (making it not mathematical or logical anymore), but the left side wants it to be . In the Blurryface era logo, having the creativity (slanted, right side) red, meant Blurryface (Nico) was in control of his music, his creativity, just like the black paint on his hands and neck. The Spotify Bandito 3D video thing, the description of the double lines logo ( ||-// ) meant that the logo was protected, like a jumpsuit covering it.
This new proposed logo ( |-// ) has the right side (creativity) protected from turning red again (being under BF's control), but also having a synergy with the left side (BF, Dema, etc.)
I'm loving this theory.

Yes! This is genius! Pulling out lyrics from holding on to you is crazzyyyy!! I had a theory that the color was going to be green, as a mix of scaled and icy and trench. Because trench is about breaking free, and scaled and icy is about control, i thought that it would end in a temporary truce. Thus mixing making green! But irange makes wayyy more sense with the new logo!!

What if the next album is going to be orange AND purple. I've been telling my friends that thematically, Tyler has always mentioned having two sides to him, whether it's his brain, personality, etc. What I'm trying to get at is what if the next album is going to be half orange (more rock/harder part of the album) and half purple (softer/more depressing part of the album).

i’m gonna be honest, i don’t think it’ll be orange, i think it’ll be grey- the in between of black and white. i think you’re forgetting that they teased redecorate as the new start and aesthetic for the band, i think it’ll go more dark and more emotional. so i think thematically it’ll be the amalgamation of the two but it’s not gonna sound much like either.

Hold on, has nobody noticed the last frame in the video, Episode 5 of the tour diary? They literally form the new logo with their arms, no way that isn't intentional being the last shot of the video! It was the first thing that came to my mind, and then I saw your video with the thumbnail!

And I’m so glad I found someone to geek out with abt T O P !!! I’m a bit older than most fans, but I was a record manager for YEARS . I look and acted like John Cusack, from High Fidelity apparently to many ppl … anyway, I’m a HUGE, HUGE ,HUGE fan of these guys. I do think you’re into to something, and if not, it’s fun to figure all this out . I’ll be keeping an 👁️ out for your T O P videos .

Sai we know was influenced by his mom telling him that the world needs a hopeful vibe atm.. but also we got tipped to Sai is propaganda.. and that he wrote the 1st and last tracks, and then filled in the middle, for the album..
Regardless, gr8 catch on the new logo, and I'll be interested to see what color[s] it's shared to us 1st.. cuz bf red was / line, so it seems like he is still present.. but maybe the missing I is Tyler & Clancy finally ingrained as 1

These theory videos bring me back to better times, back when the days of speculating what was after blurryface
It starts out with this |-/ (beginning) then ||-// (Bishops trying to control, in the negative space between the lines, it creates the first logo) the sai (Dema/Bishops took over) then |-// (regaining control and taking over Dema. You can see the finish line in the negative space between the two forward slashes) and I believe it will end with them “taking back” their old logo as a symbol of victory or freedom.
OR they end up accepting the negative parts of themselves and taking control of the bishops and the city they once called home. Which could also lead to a purple and yellow era (complimentary colors).
I hope this makes sense. This was just my first reaction to the new logo. Lol

This video aged really well considering the skeleton hands logo is pretty much confirmed with the one finger on one hand and two on the other creating this logo. Nice prediction!
Orange is red+yellow, but purple is analogous to orange… so I believe in something purple yet

For the symbol, think of particle/wave duality. His soul is his waveform/right side brain. His particle (physical form) relates to the left side.
The diagonal signs represent his partially healed soul, the solid lines represent his his mastery of his mind. Which will lead to healing the soul more

for me I have joined the black and white train hear me out. black= darkness depression=darkness white=light of in the case of TOP it would be dema= black and the theme also goes with the map we got being black and white. Im really hoping for aa b&w album as I have always loved the contrast. when I first saw the purple guesses I loved it and wanted it but rn it does seem like it will be b&W. if wed thinkabout how we found sai colors it was due to confetti on tylers shoe and at the concerts which was random. the black and white videos are also random as they are some of the first ones the boys jhavwe made into black and white

Sidenote: if you look up images of kaleidoscopes, you can see an influence of the imagery for the top down view of dema. I wonder if we will see any kaleidoscope imagery in the next era, given that it might be right-side brain themed.

I think that an orange era would make sense but not only because of the combination of red and yellow. If you look at orange in the color scheme, orange is the opposite of blue, which is a color that was quite predominant in scaled and icy era. I don't know if this makes a lot of sense, but i'd agree with my own theory haha

2:05 As a psychology student, that image makes me rage really much because that's a neuromyth. It is not real and I hate it. There's not a left mathematic side nor a right creative side, but since it is fiction and it's Twenty-one pilots, I guess I can let it go for now...
