Checked 12 bikes and finalised RTR 200. Almost bought the NS200 but 1) See the videos NS200 have. Not a single garage owner will suggest you NS200. That shook my grip on NS. 2) Showroom guys was not making test ride available on NS200. They said NS200 is only available on booking. 3) Apache’s usable power plus it's parts quality (personally checked it in detail.) is noticeably better then NS. Today, My Apache touched 1,000 kms and very happy to note how difference it has made in my day to day commute.
Faisal please do not add the design of the bike as a con. Yes i know the new gen ns 200 also carries the same design from the older one but it is the most loved design by everyone. And myself including many more out there are thankful to bajaj for not making any changes to the design of the bike except the graphics. It is the most sexiest and aggressive and sporty looking bike out there in this very segment. Just keep it beside the apache rtr 200 and duke 200. Ns 200 will look the more attractive and sporty among them. So please dont go near the design language. Till date many people out there love the bike the way it looks. It has that attention gaining looks.

@Gaminga am using it from past 5 years, had a small small issue's over the time of running, but its okay while i ride so harsh, but Bajaj is the best value for money at any segments.
I remember my schooldays when this bike was launched...me and my friend went crazy for the looks of this bike...it still is very attractive....the problem is not with ns200 , its bajaj actually, which doesn't have skilled mechanics who can take care of such a powerful bike without messing with it.
Proud owner of pulsar ns 200 got this baby when it got launched !! Pre booked it and yaaa its been like years together n still everyday it is still thrilling to drive and omg the milege is still good !!
i have pulsar ns 200 its 4 months old and has 1500 kms the cons are engine noise it makes like tappet sound and milleage is not good around 28 to 33 ..other than that bike is a ozm machine ....
The ns must be treated as a child when it's new. Then u can get the total power once you reach 2000 kms. Until then dont rev more than 4 to 6k rpm.so u can get 38 to 40 kmpl of mileage
I own a Black and White 2014 model and I love it. Pros --- 1. Great Handling 2. Reasonably priced 3. Fuel Efficient 4. Powerful. 5. Low maintenance Cons --- 1. Dynamics (front is heavy.) 2. Stock tyres were very inferior. 3. Vibrations 4. Not up to date in terms of electronics compared to it's contemporaries.
I own a pulsar ns200 currently and boy I love the way it looks and the way it rides. Its design actually looks timeless. It always looks so great to look at and this particular colour the mirage white is so gorgeous. However I do have a lot of issues with the bike as well 1)When I bought it abs wasn't available even as an option. 2) Refinement is not there. Vibrations are felt quite a lot. 3) I'm 5'8" but it's still difficult for me to manage this bike. Its seating is quite tall. 4) For particularly my bike there's no play in the clutch and even after mentioning it several times in the showroom they don't fix it. 5) old pulsar horn was so good. This one is just decent and feels as if it's a horn of a commuter bike But even after having all these issues, everything vanishes after I ride it. ❤️
Ns looks better in real , apache lacks the 6 gear, looks like a commuter 150 cc bike and lacks power. Only advantage I think is dual channel abs. I don't think better console will make me buy the bike.
I love the ns 200. Never experienced this from an Indian brand ever. Super sexy , speed monster in a budget. I am sure lots of ns 200 owners would agree on that.
Pros - the engine is beast, looks attractive, no lack of power Cons - chain sprocket not up to the mark to handle the power delivery to wheels, cone set is also not made to handle the NS 200. This bike can actually amaze you with its power, but need to change chain sprocket and cone set frequently. But the overall performance of this beast will force you to ignore all the cons.

Bike's engine is really good..relaible and powerful. I think the engine is refined. Brakes were exceptional in first 2 years but now are just better than average. 2 cons- turning radius quite big, and the pillion seat is very much uncomfortable. Apart from this.. this is an exceptional bike in terms of performance..and quite attractively priced.

Hi guys I purchased 200ns in 2013, my experience is awesome. It is really a beast. Thanks for Bajaj for making the best bike in this segment bikes. Mileage is also very good for the first three years I got above 50kmpl but now it's 40 to 50 based on the traffic. Your reviews are nice bro keep it up.
I probably will want to stick with carburettors for low end bikes, it's practical. & please, for God's sake, DO NOT BRING HERO HERE. They just don't belong here. P.S. FYI, the Hero Glamour, only bike from Hero I really like, offers it's worst variant with Fi. & the latest models are even worse. The previous model was definitely better.
I like apache over pulsar because of it's beautiful design, excellent graphic work, fit and finish are much better than the pulsar yeah i know when it comes to performance pulsar is ahead of all in its segment.(pulsar has a liquid cooling technology, which is an advantage over 200's oil cooled)
Liquid cool technology isn't an advantage it has liquid cooling bcaz the compression ratio of this bikes is way higher than other bikes Apache 200 do not heat up Nd other bikes too bcaz their compressed ratio isn't that high Nd they don't need liquid cooling. If they would increase compression ratio they could have increased the power Nd then it will required liquid cooling
Pros - try motul 7100 full synthetic engine oil & Duke 200 clutch plate to evolve your ns into Gyarados bt make sure to have an abs with great speed comes much more responsibility. Con - Apache 200 feels much more premium the seat ,gear box , handle bar ,speedometer & the sound combined makes it worth the buying.
The ultimate problems I faced with my pulsar are the build quality, service center and a rough engine, gearbox. The above problem made me sell it. But I loved the design which isn't dated at all, In fact it's the most charming naked bike.

Mototzigane I've personally attained 144 in my RTR 200. It doesn't hesitate doing it. Have you lost it?? Do all these bikes come under budget category? An exception - r15, which is a different breed altogether. No sane person can deny the fact that dual channel ABS has an edge over single channel.

BS3 NS was pure Dope.....that punch and raw power is no more in BS4 engine. Though engine become more smooth and bit better fuel economy. Thats why gifted myself a RTR200

I have pulsar ns 200 2015 model. It is the best until now. Never felt disheartened by the other competitors ( after riding on all of them). Still feel that this is the best bike in the segment. A few flaws are there though. But that's OK
Pros of this bike : Give a good top speed other than any 200 cc motorcycle Better look and some are covered in this video But some cons which i would like to share are the ground clearance of this bike which is low for some indian roads you will find that it touches down some big speed breakers - The fuel economy in traffic is just damn low - noise from the fan - as this is a bajaj unit vibrations are free Overall a good bike for tall riders in this price segment the best 200cc motorcycle

I just want a gear position indicator that's it, I really love the analog RPM meter. Otherwise no upgrade needed.

Just go and tell the service center about the tappet noise. They will clear it.
Even i also own punsar ns 200. And it is also 4 monthe old and has a mileage of 2800 kms. Till now i have not heard any of that such noise.

Don't rev it too hard for the initial running period ie 2000kms . Trust me after that it's a beast with a good mileage too.

But some cons which i would like to share are the ground clearance of this bike which is low for some indian roads you will find that it touches down some big speed breakers
- The fuel economy in traffic is just damn low
- noise from the fan
- as this is a bajaj unit vibrations are free
Overall a good bike for tall riders in this price segment the best 200cc motorcycle
