Bass Fishing Angles Creek Area of New Melones Lake California 08 18 2023

I am still not finding any fish holding up shallow. Almost all the fish I am catching have been in 10+ feet of water. The best baits have been jigs or deep-diving crankbaits. Water temp is running about 81 deg, and air temps have been in the 95 to 105 range. Lake elevation has been fairly stable for a couple of months. Before that, it was rising quickly due to the snow melt.
