My chicken run is so muddy been putting bark down. The ducks looked happy swimming in the puddle. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. All the best for the new year.
Hope you had a good Christmas too! It's awful isn't it? I mean, I am used to muddy chickens in winter, but this year is so much worse than normal.
Hoping you had a Happy Christmas and wishing you a wonderfully prosperous New Year! 💖🌞🌵😷
And to you, Suzi. Lovely time here and looking forward to what the next year brings. 😀
Those chickens must be a lot happier on grass and not that mud. Also it must feel good to make such progress in the barn. How funny the dog rounds up the sheep randomly for you but expect it could at times be a nuisance. Hope Storm Gerrit doesn't cause you too much bother😊
I know, poor things. It's so difficult to keep anything free from mud at the moment but the ducks ... gah. They make everything 1,000 times worse! And yes - with the barn it's like having a good clean and re-arrange. Feels like things coming together and always great to have a clean. Power wash next!
Didn't know about the different rooting around habits of chickens and ducks. They all look happy now.
Definitely happier with their new digs and the chickens are definitely less muddy.
Hi Geoff. Wise things to do, trying ti dry the ducks living area up. Great to be able to put thew birds away at night- we hew to or they would soon go. The lambing area will be great, big enough if you have to keep ewes in owing to bad weather. Glad you have solved Demi's lameness problem. Well done.
Thanks for this Geoff. Johnny.
Hope you're well, Johnny!
Thanks Geoff, you are very kind. I'm fine thanks. We have had a lot of rain and sleet, with very high winds..
Best. Johnny. 🤓@@BrimwoodFarm
After watching this I realised that I identify myself as a duck 🦆🤣 also would be nice if you did a video of all your poultry breeds
Planning to. Just need to set up some more pens.
Always enjoying your adventures on your farm! Indeed a lot of work but well done. I have a small farming project in rural Thailand with Chickens, pigeons, fish and rabbits. May start with a couple of pigs next year. Veggies is doing pretty well though mildew has proven to be a challenge on tomatoes and sometimes on cucumbers and courgette
Hey, thanks! What do you do with the pigeons? Just pets?
Lovely video!
Thanks!
Chickens are enough for me thank you, as I think ducks would drive me Quackers 🤣
🤣🤣
I always keep the ducks separate for the same reason.
They're such messy buggers!
LOL. Indeed they are.@@BrimwoodFarm
