Love my Fx4! If you have a garden or flower bed, dump that muck in it, my vegetables went freakin' crazy after i started dumping my water changes on them lol. Satisfying video!

I just put a canister filter on my 55 gallon. I’m installing another on my 60 gallon tomorrow. These are my first canister filters. A lady gave me these. I’m excited to get rid of the hang on backs.
Next, come do the annual cleaning on my 55 canister, lol. Good luck getting it out of the cabinet😂🤦🏼♀️

Got 2 FX6 in my fishroom and they have been awesome. I've only needed to clean them up about once a year fortunately. Wish I could afford more of them. 😅
They are definitely a workhorse!
BBA growing is definitely a sign of filter needing to be dealt with.
I take a firm bristle brush to the spray bar to attempt to clean it. It's a pain.

Very nice! I bet I haven't cleaned my Marineland canisters in 7 or 8 years! Why? Because the weight of the tank, well over a ton, has compressed the frame down onto the doors that give me access to said canisters. Now they don't open. The FX6 that I attached 5 years ago has been cleaned 3 times, tops.
And yeah, nitrates are high, but it's compounded by the fact that my nitrates come out of the well at stupid high levels.

I go with the flow as well Stephen…I wish more people would see the benefits of running a pre filter….i mean your filter was full but not totally compacted black goo…but tips or brain farts and hard to believe I guess coming from a person that calls himself a window licker..lol…that’s there problem 😎👍
