  • Get a behind-the-scenes look at the cultural phenomenon of booya and visit one of the nation's few municipal booya kitchens. Host Nick Nelson introduces you to the Silver Fox Club, purveyors of one of Minnesota's longest running booyas.
    As of October 2014, the rate to rent the Booya Shed is $792 for a two day rental during the hours of 7:30 AM - 9:30 PM. This also includes rental of the pavilion. Alcohol is allowed with permission, and large group fees apply. To rent the Booya Shed, call the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation permit office at 651-632-5111.

    "Bouilla" or "Booyah", means boil.
    It started in frog town.
    We had them in the fall when the snapping turtles were harvested.
    It had turtle, pork, chicken and fish.
    Basically, it was a French/American Bouillabaisse.

    I thought it was something a half man half robot guy yells out when he gets all excited over some very small accomplishment
    Around here it’s a crap load sized chicken soup at a fireman’s picnic
