I'm a drummer and when I was about 10 in the late 90s I found this DW drums special documentary at a pawn shop. My dad was also a drummer so he bought it for us. We probably watched that VHS 1,000 times. This was the day I was exposed to Terry Bozzio. He was a freak of nature in terms of a drummer. Love his crazy strange unique style and approach to drums. Which also led me to Zappa. Love it.
Sorry brother but I disagree. There is some serious contenders coming up through the music industry over the last few years since 2014 to now. Very unique talented skilled drummers. The drummer from Sleep Token is one of them.
Frank... had this innate ability to extract the best from the best!!! The quintessential composer, vocalist, band leader/maestro. I can spot raw talent... the challenge....is to get the raw talent to come out... it takes a very special set of tools to overcome this challenge. Frank was not only a musical genius, but he was also blessed by this ability to bring out the best of the best. He was not religious.... but let me tell you (living proof) it is a gift from the creator, and he was multi-gifted. Thank you my Lord! Everyone was on fire, but Frank... just killed that SG! Peace Love and Soul.

One can purchase the “Baby Snakes” DVD new or used for not a lot of money to get around such irritations of the digital sharing/streaming world. Won’t part with mine; the laser is starting to cut an actual groove into my DVD I’ve watched it front to back so many times. Not sure if I’m citing the right DVD, but do the research; I think I’m correct. Ruuuuuuth sleighs the percussion in the Palladium NYC 1977(?) performance shown here.

I grew up in Cincinnati. I went to the University of Cincinnati Summer of 1976. 1978 - 1983. I had a Friend from New York who went to CCM he always talked about Frank Zappa also preceded him. I worked in the Promotional Record Department for CBS in the Early 80's for a Year before they pulled out of Cincinnati. I declined jobs in Cleveland and Chicago which I respectfully due to what I was doing at that time. I had the Privilege of Seeing a lot of Bands. I wish I had seen Zappa and Terry Bozzio back stage because I really love them together. Add Adrien Belew! Wow! I used to see him jogging on the Covington Kentucky and Newport Kentucky Flood Wall on a Regular basis. I've always been impressed by Terry Bozzio! His Drums are unique. He's always been a Great Singer too. He sang all the Backup Vocals for Dale Bozzio in Missing Persons. He has a Great Range and Great Falsetto!

Lei non suona più, insegna e concordava con T.BOZIO il fatto di aver toccato la cima, l'alternativa era solo una discesa visto che quando nel 93 Zappa è andato a rompere le scatole a Dio oltre ai Presidenti Americani e non, presi in giro quando era in vita. That camera is far too close to Terry. It needs to pan back a little but he’s not one of the all time greats for nothing. He’s king of the Black Page. Frank had a sea of great and I mean really great drummers but Terry is up there with the very best of them and we’re talking of drummers of the calibre of Vinnie C and Aynsley Dunbar.
I can drum like that... pretty easily, actually. He’s alright. I don’t really see where this is such a big deal other than the fact that this is melting my brain rn, hfs.
