I couldn't install GTA V, because my Launcher was crashing when I was trying to set destination folder. This solution solved the problem. Amazing, thank you!!!

Doesn’t work
For me the issue was an undeletable folder in OneDrive. Go into safe mode , then OneDrive then documents and delete the rockstar folder

This didn't work but I ended up fixing it
First Uninstall rockstar launcher and social club
Download a fresh version of rockstar launcher from their official site
Once installed right click rockstar games launcher and click properties, then go under compatibility mode
uncheck Run in Compatibility mode (mine was running on windows 7 mode),
then check Run as Administrator, then click apply
That worked for me hopefully it helps others.
For everyone who gets the error message just uninstall the launcher and reinstall it agian

This didnt work for me but i found solution, long story short u need static IP, it will work like a charm, u can get static IP from ur provider or via VPN it will add to ur bill cos in both instances u have to pay extra for it but that is only solution that worked and i tried em all!

Won't launch for me but i see in task manager it starts to take around 15% of my CPU. Then ask me for admin privileges ( even though i ticked the run-as-admin box ) like 3 times and then I just have Rockstar Games Launcher and RGL Patcher running in the Task Manager using like 60mb of my RAM combined. I have the game through Epic Games, worked flawlessly until i reinstalled windows. Launcher starts to launch through epic games and then just says The Launcher is already running, i disable it through Task mang. and try to run again and same shit. Just asks me for admin privileges 3 times and sits in task manager.... I don't know what to do right now ?

@@devashathya1786 Hi, so what fixed my problem was. My launcher and social club was saved and installed on my D drive and the game was installed on my main partition that was the C drive. So after deleting everything and reinstalling it on one partition/drive ( C: ) it all worked together. After I did that my game launched as normal. Hope this is your problem and that it would fixed it.

I got frustrated with this shitty happening and i just completely factory resetted my system and then re installed rockstar launcher. And then when i opened it with no hope, and booooomm! It worked.. but the bad thing is that i lost most of my important data for just 1 game 🥲

Didn’t work for me, I’ve removed firewall, run as admin, cleared DNS, deleted and reinstalled it, added an exclusion aswell and it just gets stuck on an infinite loading wheel and doesnt respond and doesn’t let me close it, I have to restart each time I want to be able to try!! Any ideas?

I recently got myself a genuine version of windows 11 Pro, so I formatted my windows 10 pc , but after installing rockstar launcher on it, the interface would not launch, it would sit at task manager and would not even close, and it sometimes even caused BSOD on my pc. So, the solution is to first uninstall the launcher, and then reinstall it, after that add the rockstar launcher containing folder to exclusions , and also go to allow app through firewall and browse and select rockstar launcher.exe file, and finally the most important step, which fixed my problem basically was to open onedrive and let it sync my files. Hope, my reply helps to anyone in need, I had searched various forums on the internet, and finally found the solution.

it wont let me log into the launcher no matter what ive done literally everything redownloaded the launcher and GTA V multiple times ran as admin flushed dns its all bullshit this game is ass
I've tried running it as admin, uninstalling & reinstalling it, verifying files and even updating drivers and it still wont work. It just freezes and it wont even let me end the program so I have to restart my entire fucking computer.
