I wrestling in womens freestyle in Canada at 57kg and I found this move quite helpful cuz alot of girls prefer wrist control at my weight class. I'm a fair bit stronger in the upper body compare to most of them just because I train with guys bigger then me since there's not alot of girls on my team. I'm looking into universities next year for wrestling and I was wondering if you had any moves you could suggest I work on? I like leg attacks but my coach says I throw beautifully in practices I ju

Hey I have a question about wrestling since I'm a beginner but is it something you master or is it an endless amount of moves, its hard to tell since it's a combat sport

    • @KOLATCOM

There are an endless amount of moves but to be competitive you will need to master the 7 basic skills of wrestling as well as a few key moves in the 4 major situations of collegiate wrestling.
      For example:
7 basic skills- Stance, Motion, Level Change, Penetration, Lifting, Back Step, Back Arch
Feet Offense - 3-4 Setups, 3-4 Leg attacks, 2-3 Upper body attacks
Feet Defense - Hand Fighting, Leg Defense, Front Headlock Defense/Offense
      Top Offense - 2-3 Rides, 2-3 Breakdowns, 2-3 Turns,
Bottom Defense - Build a base, stand-up, leg ride defense, Sit and turn.

@mrtnt1717 You can arm drag into a double ... You can throw the arm by into a snatch single ... if he pulls his arm back he'll most like straighten a little out of his stance, which opens him up for a low leg.

@JoshMitch7 what do you mean? Works the same way for me.. Another thing is instead of circling the way he does in this video you could bring their arm the other direction and expose their leg.
