Sometimes I buy a vehicle and I love the shape of the rims , but I can't stand that they're not as shiny as can be, do you know a company I could use to get those kind of rims dipped To be as shiny as possible ?
They need an app to show you what your car would look like after you wrap it. Might save a lot of people from driving around looking stupid. 🤔

We were just thinking of adding different wheels to our 2024 C8. We happened upon your 3 year old CZcams it was great. We have Android and when we went to Google Play Store it said the app won't work on our phone, The app was made for an older version of Android 😢

The ZR1 is a "gas guzzler? Hmm, install the front tow hook so that the Colorado can tow it around. I'm sure your better half wouldn't mind steering the ZR1 while you are doing the towing. See, one and done!😁 Speaking of tow hooks, do you have one? If not, you need one, just make sure it's black! Then again, be bold and go GOLD!😉 Was the blue I8 a wrap or factory paint? Kudos to the developer of the wheel app! I think he could raise the "cool factor" up just a tad if he included being able to change the color of the calipers as well. Just a thought. Save the Wave.🙋🏼♂️

MRR FS06 offset is +40F, +50R,
OEM is +52F, +64R.
difference is +12F, +14R.
I am concerned about wheel bearing wear, camber, tire scrubbing. Your thoughts???

I don't think bearing wear will be an issue, but we'll see. I have a set of aftermarket wheels coming for my C8 that fit more flush with the fenders so I'll get you exact measurements at some point.

This has been a long since debated topic but apparently, wheels with the correct offset aren't as harsh on bearings/hubs as wheel spacers are. There's a lot of science behind it but if you look into it, it makes sense. The right offset wheel is safer to run than spacers for a few reasons.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I would think that a spacer would not be safe. Also, I think that wheels MUST be hub-centric. But a wheel with 1/2 inch extra offset would have the same negative issues as spacers. Your thoughts.
So the wheel spacers are "safe" as far as driving on them is concerned. THe problems come into play with the stress it puts on the hub/bearings. That same stress is NOT added if the wheel has the correct offset (regardless if it's out or in further). There's a lot of science to this and you may want to look it up but long story short is, the correct offset doesn't put the same stress on the hub/bearings as wheel spacers do.

The configurators available from various vendors are ok but lack the detail and dimension this app appears to offer. The configurator images are usually the nicest looking (read deepest set hub flange) and aren't truly representative of what a particular fitment's look might be. Lots of wheels for sale on eBay for that reason. Does the app allow different back spacing or offset adjustment along with diameter?
That would be the cherry on top if so.
It doesn't allow for that kind of customizing... YET. I have a feeling this app is just getting started.
