M400 = 1,200kg FQ400 = 1,400kg With the same kind of power and torque you don't have to be a genius to predict the outcome.....

Intersting as that is hardly the only criteria as one is crammed with electronics and driver assistance. The M400 is the car we drive to Spa in to go on track, holiday in, go to work in!

In 2004 the only cars I can think of with faster times are the Koeninsegg CCR and Ariel Atom.

It’s due to her boobies dragging in the steering wheel. It’s a common problem when broads drive on sharp corners.

one thing i hate is people complaining about the turbo lag. it is not an issue if you know how to drive it. shes going off the boost through corners and wondering why its sluggish. she should bot be doing a tv show on cars
I own a evo 8 and noble m12gto3r both cars heavily modified the Noble is in another league

Its quite obvious she is doing it wrong. Im not saying she cant drive, but going sideways in an Evo is not the fastest way around a track.
I would disagree, understeer is a big problem with awd cars. Sometimes around a track, you really have to force a car like that into a small slide for the best cornering speed.
all that trickery must bow down to proper chassis engineers ;)

Need to play it again to hear that giggle from behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi. I still prefer the squeal from when she drove the Integrale.

Two beautiful cars , would be a very hard choice.
Evo X would've closed that gap significantly, but to be fairer it should be the cheaper Noble she drove, or a race/track-prepared Evo for an honest comparison!
+StevieRay9O The Evo X version is slower than the Evo 8 version so it will not have made a difference I'm afraid.

2.4s gap ain’t much evo 25hp down on noble I think if they have same power the evo would win and it was kept in power band needs a better driver I think the evo would be a lot faster
Agreed. The noble m400 did a 01.26.0 on the tg test track and the evo did 01.24.8

BileMonkey Mitsubishi UK's motor sports department together with tuning specialists Rampage, Flow Race Engines and Owen Developments got together recently and created a monster of a four-pot screamer in the form of the 298kW Lancer Evolution VIII MR FQ400 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mitsubishi's entry into the UK market.

The 8 FQ400 engine/turbo was quite overrated, had nothing until about 4500 rpm and then throttle repsonse/lag was terrible. Fq360 MR IX was superior by far - MIVEC+titanium MHI turbo helping it reach full boost by 3000RPM with nothing like the lag (and easy to get 400hp/400lbft out of with a remap). Shame top gear never put that round their track, wouldn’t be surprised if it took 2s off the FQ400 mark.
Really? That's would've been interesting. The FQ 320 did a 1.26.0 which was a great time.
Anglesey is a tight twisty track that suite the noble best.

+Laurynas S. The Evo has 410 HP AWD. The Noble has 15 HP more and is lighter.
+Ethanmeister T and still accelerates slower without AWD but is less hard to drive.
+Juan Galvis The AWD counters the weight disadvantage. The Evo is a handful to handle compared to the Noble.

Lots of butt hurt evo fans. The noble is a purpose built track car the evo is a economy car that's been beefed up. The evo is a awesome car that can survive in the real world and on the track where the noble not so much. Both are brilliant in their own ways. The evo is not this unbeatable car the fanboys wish it to be. That being said I would take the evo over the noble so I could drive it year round on and off the track.

Noble is like roughly less that 900kgs I think and Evo is well over 1300
On top of that the Evo probably has 4/500 kilo more weight than the Noble!

The Nobel wayyy lighter than the EVO. The GTR may do it better but this tracks is too small and tight for cars that big.

@@Deltairony824 At the moment of that video that was the most powerful Japanese 4 wheel drive rally car, with 34 rally victories, it's packed with technology, active differentials, and reliability. I doubt that Fifth gear would have been fair to a superior car than theirs.
