It's funny how they keep on comparing the standard STi to an FQ version of an Evo and not the standard Evo version itself.. If you're going to put an FQ version on the track might as well as putting a Spec-C or an RA and RA-R version on the track too. This is unfair for the scooby man.

The FQ version is the Sti version of the evo... The GSR is the base model meaning they should then compare it to the wrx and we both know the subaru will lose horrible

Iv been lucky enough to own both cars in the past and I can tell you that they are both as good as each other.

I wasn't a fan of the Bug eye Impreza but when the Blob eye update came it made it look better and the Evo 7 is actually a nice Evo but would be better if it was evo 7 front and evo 8 rear

Tiff is one of the finest drivers there is.
My dad used to own these exact two models of the Evo and the WRX. And after having experienced both of these cars I think I’m gonna have to give it to the Evo. Their both legendary cars but the Evo VII is just an absolute beast.

Going to give it to the impreza, I've had mine 8 yrs with little mods, coilovers, decent tires they are quicker than most evos, 2010+ sports cars, then ad a proper toe setup, and ur keeping up with almost anyone on the touge, boxer engines are balanced well, As why they also use them in the porches

I've owned both evo's and sti's. can't go wrong with either. the years in this video aren't the best lookers in my opinion. older is better in my opinion as the newer ones seem to get heavier and heavier each year.
Mitsubishi EVO is discontinued. It's a shame... But I have to say the inline engines can make more power much easier than a flat engine, but Flats sound better and can make more power if done correctly. They are both great cars.

evo is just a superior car, daily driver the sti it's more comfortable for racing and the track the evo is much better(sharper)

Not all STI's understeer. My spec c will oversteer like that. Type RA and Type R also are very oversteer prone.

Evo is a better race car and better acceleration subaru only has a better interior and nobody buys an evo for interior and evos make horsepower way easier and thats facts right and even tho mitsubishi stop making evos the new subarus still cant beat them in acceleration or make power easier all subaru has is, is interior subaru is more of that in between race car and normal sedan evo is full racecar

You mod it though, and it goes to the scrapyard within about three years anyway, so it doesn't matter.
Also, it's not the best for racing, either. In the WRC, where the biggest competition was happening, Subaru won the Manufacturer's and Driver's title three times each, with Colin McRae (1995), Carlos Sainz, Richard Burns (2001), Tommi Mäkinen and Petter Solberg (2003) all giving them wins. It would have been 4 Driver's titles, but McRae lost 1997 by one point.
Mitsubishi may have had four Driver's title, but all were with Tommi Mäkinen, and only won one Manufacturer's title (1998), and that was down to Burns, scoring two victories that year that would have otherwise made Toyota the champions that year.
So, in those regards, STi > Evo.

+Killing 85 2000 is the same as the 2001 and 2002
LuisWRXSTi wrong the lights are different and the rims ( i am not fully sure on the lights) And i think the grill in some spots
+LuisWRXSTi 00 has a rare gc8 model, as there is a bugeye 00 aswell

Still both cars are great in their different style. Subaru spec c is what to compare with Evos. Euro WRX is lighter version of Japanese boxer.
He is dead on about the concentration required for the STi. I daily a 02 STI and under 4k revs its a snail but as soon as that turbo kicks you really have to keep up with the transmission. Love my car would never sell it.

Sorry to be such an anorak but I don't think thats a genuine FQ300 it's a RS2 import. (276bhp) The FQ300s doesn't have the fog light in the rear bumper or a back wiper and the radio and heater switches are swapped round and that car doesn't have the carbon dash insert.

+chris scott sti is the turbo wrx. there is the base model wrx and then there is the wrx sti with spoiler rims turbo and all the other extra bells and whistles. both wrx

Luke Kindred No, you don't. If it were pronounced that way it would either be spelled as "Impretza" or "Imprezza". But there's no T and there's only 1 Z. The Japanese pronunciation doesn't involve a T sound either.
