Not yet!
nah i don't think whistler is for me, i love slow steep tech im not a big jumptrail guy what whistler is mostly about, but the pacific northwest is definitly on my bucket list
No 😥maybe next year
there is bikeparks in Québec come to Bromont
Nah but when I do I want to do downhill or slopestyle
I know pinkbike do this too but not enough. Would love to see this once a week from you guys, at bike parks anywhere!! Easy video idea and could smash them out weekly! Food for thought. Love to see real people's bikes and hear the stories behind them!! WE WANT MORE!
I coincide with you friend gretting from Chile!
Agreed!
I've often thought the same thing. Why not make a series like Friday-Bikes (based on pinkbikes Friday-Failes)? like the used look of the bikes in front of outside views together with the pilots and their comments. 👍
6:32 Mr. Samson's huge influence on me will be his love & emphasis of hardtail mtb.
Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking
Stealing pinkbike 's job, huh? I approve
Yea I really like that it’s a “people check and bike check”…cool to hear peoples stories
Yeah gmbn is much better
Always 'borrowing' Pinkbike content!
They've run our of content to the point they have to steal others I guess
@@chris4536 I like both
Yeahhh the Spectral Mullet 🤙 Had mine since March and absolutely love it!
Good video guys, greetings from Chile !🇨🇱🇨🇱
love this series!
2:45 some random Jared appearance. Supernice!
That transition to Rich killed me like he killed that mic peaking to hell 📣📣📣OKAY WE ARE IN WHISTLER! 📣📣📣 🤣
the yeti😮💨👌🏼
I expected the final bike to be a hardtail for Blake 😁
"Gotta watch out for them ninja cougars" lmao 🤣 😂
I nearly spat my tea out of my nose when Rich said that to the youngster on his bike 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have that orange sender..i luvs that bike
Where did the man with canyon torque purple find the purple stickers "canyon" ?
“This one’s got a pretty special story behind it…”
nice vid :)
The video is a little short guys. my tea just cooled down and the program finished
Sorry about that! We should have a few other videos you can enjoy in the meantime!
1:34 wonder what he works with to buy that bike :D
mtb wonderland
Hi guys! (Blake in particular) I am thinking of buying a dirt jump bike by the end of this year. I’m looking for something around 500 pounds. Do you guys have any ideas? Or anybody in the comments?
Great video
Thanks Zeke!
Marketing has worked
Gmbn doing Pinbikes' job
I would expect Pinkbike doing Gmbn's job
Meaning doing the same videos over and over again, until we get bored of them? Nah, let Pinkbike be Pinkbike.. they are busy with the downhill cup and reviewing all the new bikes for now, that's why we don't see a lot of bike checks for now.
Rich you really need to stop trying the Bobby Charlton comb over and embrace the baldness, it really isn't doing you any favours.... shave your head 👍🏻
Or a gmbn hat lol
🔥 bikes
Sick!
And here I'm kicking singletracks with my 300 bucks 70's Klunker... I wouldn't like to trade though 😉
I like like like this ! All over super Nice bikes 😃😃
I would love to have one of those bikes they look so good but I recon they ride so much better then they look
yeah i recon they do ay
4:20 bro sounds like cbum 😂
Rich going for the Bob Barker look?
how the dude got a frame from Santa Cruz, they usually deny cracks on frames
sehr sympatischer Interviewer!!!!
The firebird ran out of breath.
Second guy with the pivit sounds like Carlos Sainz
Pivot*
yo gg le qeb!! t'as parlé à Rich Payne!
Up the canyons 💪
Whistler!
I saw u yesterday
I thought Blake had moved to pinkbike when I saw the title ngl
pov:
Shopping with mum and dad but u say your just browsing
I don't understand why most people don't ride DH bikes at Whistler. Nothing beats a DH bike for me.
Could you test Decathlon Rockrider mt bikes?
Spend a little extra and get a reputable brand from a 'proper' bike shop. They are OK machines for casual use but buying the bike is only the beginning of the journey. Having the real support and knowledge of a decent bike shop will pay off tenfold when it comes to keeping your investment running smoothly, safely and quietly so that you can enjoy the precious time off in the woods working on your skills and progressing past the level of a Superstore type machine.
There will also be more scope for getting a bike with more potential for upgrades and future development with technology and features.
Wish you all the best in any case!
Happy trails!
You also do not have to necessarily invest in one of the brands that pay this channel to promote their products and business too! Plenty of choice out there!
Also do not be too afraid to start on a solid hardtail! You will be amazed at what you can ride on a simple bike with suitable chunky tyres and reliable, safe brakes!
Even a single speed can offer heaps of benefits and a super silent ride! Depends on where you ride and the type of riding you want to do.
I have personally ridden some proper trails in North Wales and the Midlands on a Ragley Blue Pig X with 32 X 18/20 gearing!
@@chris4536 thanks for your tips man, but to get a reputable brand is almost twice the price in my county... and i also need to buy all the gear. Helmet, knee pads, etc.
This will be my first mtb and i dont know if i wanna spend so much money on something im not sure yet that im gonna love as a sport/hobby.
Or at least im quite sure im not going to drive on red and black trails so i dont want to go overkill with my first mtb.
As long as you get something with good geometry that fits you well and will work with the appropriate upgrades as you progress and also wear out & break components!
Try and test ride as many different bikes as you can to find what suits your needs best, find some local riders or a group that can help you out and provide experience and insight to help point you in the right direction.
You could even move to a different country or continent if you really want to chase a buzz! ....I did!
just a kid in a candy shop🤑🤯😻
I generally like bike check vids, but Pinkbike does it better. They don't seem to be contractually obligated to find every Canyon bike like GMBN seems to be.
Mike Levy is really nice! Chapetta is annoying and not genuine... kazimer is dull!
Agreed… but it’s cool to see bike checks regardless .. I can’t afford any of them so I live vicariously through what I see
Everyone’s helmet is pink
cough*** a lot of Canyon's ****cough
Have you got wealthy parents
give me bike
Okai
Where are the sick builds ??
Nothing special and Canyon...Canyon...and Canyon
viele besitzer passen nicht zu ihren sportlichen bikes. nanu ? 🤫🤫🤫
Broken carbon rim. At least a dinged alloy rim would be usable.
Pinkbike does it better!
Agreed, they’re just jumping on a trend and it’s not working lmao
still good to see what the normies ride haha
Just trying to keep the channel sponsors happy haha!
#canyon #garmin #blah
Hell no! I own a hardtail and if I went there with a hardtail I'll be looked at like I was nuts and not good enough because it's a hardtail and I refuse to drop thousands of dollars on a full suspension mountain bike.
If there's one thing that you have pointed out here and made apparent is that when you go to Whistler Park or any other Park like this you better have the bike, the gear and the skills or you're going to be pushed to the side, laughed at and people will shake their head at you like, Oh my God he's actually riding a hardtail!!??
And to be honest that attitude towards mountain biking and what has happened to mountain biking has turned me off from mountain biking. I ride a 2021 specialized Rockhopper expert and these videos make me feel like I and my bike are obsolete.
For me it's sad because I took off 10 years from mountain biking and when I come back what I thought was the s*** is basically standard now. The costs are ridiculous and the sport is making me feel like I'm just going to be constantly lagging behind because of that reason
As a beginner I have very little interest in lift access bike parks. I see mountain biking as a chance to explore new places, get into nature, and exercise, all while on a machine that can go fast and satisfy my need for speed and adventure. I also have a budget hardtail and while a full sus bike would be really nice to have, I'm just not a good enough rider and don't have enough disposable income to get one. I'm always amazed how much money people can spend on a pure dh bike and then only really ride it on (expensive) lift access parks. Different strokes I guess. Meanwhile everyone I've met at local trails are super chill. It seems like an elitist thing to me.
Ride your own ride dude!
Who gives a toss what your neighbor is paying for or trashing??
You know when you're doing it right when you're on the bike that YOU want to ride and actually making time to get out and ride in the places and trails that YOU want to ride!
Comparison is always the enemy of joy.... why make yourself into a victim because the game has advanced in the last two decades?
It just doesn't matter!
Riding a bike is about setting yourself free just for the fun of it!
I always ride my Hardtail in German Bikeparks and even took it out on a lot of Trails in Saalbach & Serfaus in Austria. So far I did not get laughed at or anything - If anything people were just amazed and congratulated on my courage :D
Whistler Trails might be on another level but anyway...just give a damn on people's opinion and ride the bike you have
I own a 2020 Commencal Meta HT AM by the way
@Dan Shilling You ever heard of a little bike company called CROMAG? Guess where they are located? Nobody, is gonna say crap about you riding a hardtail in Whistler... The hardtail community in the Sea to Sky corridor is alive and well. Run what ya brung!
