There's something to be said about students who go to GA Tech versus UGA. Tech students take their studies more seriously and the academic standards are quite high. I view a number UGA students as party animals and easily distracted from pursuing a decent education their parents had worked hard for. When I was in high school, the athletics director, the late Vince Dooley, had a lot of classes posted an open letter to aspiring young athletes, namely football, join their squad with very low scores of having a C or 2.0 or better to qualify. The late Father Ted Hesburgh, president emeritus of Notre Dame University, had a much higher standard for athletes to represent their school...B average or 3.2 or better...NO EXCEPTIONS! I'm sure there are a few hard working students at UGA who stand out, but one hardly ever hears about them as compared to aspiring star athletes goin into the pros.
My wife, God rest her soul, was an engineer. I never grow tired of listening to engineers geek talk :-)
Very interesting history behind the rambling wreck. Love them jackets.
I'm making a funeral dvd for a former GA Tech alumni (had 5 degrees from there) I can' download the music for the DVD. Got any suggestions?
