  • How is Chinese EV Giant BYD's Supercar Taking on EV Industry
It might be time for Ferrari to dust away because this latest Chinese electric supercar is the perfect rival to the king of supercars! Don’t believe me? Watch till the end and find out. The renowned electric car maker BYD, which shook up the market with its affordable electric cars below $14,000, has now set its sights on a new frontier. With its Yangwang ultra-luxury brand, the company is now stepping into the world of luxury. The Yangwang brand created a stir when its off-road U8 and U9 electric supercars were unveiled in January. In December of that year, BYD began shipping its first car, the U8 off-road SUV, which had beginning pricing as high as $150,000.

What do you think about BYD's move into the luxury electric car market? Could their new supercar compete with established brands like Ferrari? 🚗⚡

    • @borax92

It doesnt set on fire, it has different battery like european fire electric cars

@@borax92 yes a lot of european cars with chinese batteries set on fire in a similar fashion to chinese evs generally, hence byd is colloquially said to stand for "burn your drive" . And this particular byd car has an lfp battery and can therefore still have a thermal runaway event so my original question still stands

These cars start on fire a lot. Watch your own videos. By the way it comes with a 100% tariff. China is in such trouble they won't be able to produce it.
