Thankyou for the advice about the lizards! The hardest for me was the brio round where I died hundreds of times before I was able to complete it a couple of times (as I would die soon after and had to do the level again) After a lot of work I finally got the green gem today! So thankyou.

I was getting so frustrated with this level, particularly the second bonus round and those bouncing boxes. Once I learned your strategy through this video, I was able to get it in only a couple of tries and now have my green gem!
And I couldn't have saved my game any quicker after completing this level haha

Thanks for letting me know that bonus stage deaths don't count towards the gem. Just so you know for the mask you don't know how to get wait till the rotating platform youre on is at its apex and just jump straight up, maybe slightly right, and you'll get the mask. Doesn't really matter but it lets you make an extra mistake.

3:30 To get the Aku-Aku mask, jump when the platforms are lined up vertically
Hey, i know how to get the tiki mask (Aku Aku) that is over the two platforms revolving around a stationary one with a fruit on it, above a water pit, just before the 3 moving walls at the second bat trap. You need to ride a platform to its zenith (top) and jump straight up just as you get there. Be careful as you come down, because there is a good chance of falling or getting knocked into the water. Also, not the best idea to get this as your 3rd for the super powerup, because you hang there for a moment and it makes you out of sync with the platforms under you. Dont use the middle one at all if you dont need to, because the moving platforms will sweep you off as they go by. The moving wall next door is a red herring, it's not useful for this at all, but is a good misdirect from an easy to miss (and easy to get) pickup.

For the beginning the aku aku mask ( 3:40) you need to go on the circling platform then when you are right under it you jump high on to the flat non moving platform. And you’ll get the mask.

The aku aku mask at 3:28 you get by just staying on the rotating platform and jump up to grab it. Kinda have to use crash's shadow to guide you
To get the hidden Akku head above the sliding walls
You must jump at 12 o’clock off the platform

23 January 2021 , Saturday at 8 a.m I finally got the green gem
Its funny, I 100% completed this game when I had it on PS1. Struggling so hard now playing on the PS4.
I only played it on PS1 for a few minutes at a friend's house one time. I had Crash 2 and 3 and played the shit out of those. Crash 1 was so hard on PS1!

Follow the shadow of crash while on the rotating platform to get the aku aku mask..when crash's shadow and the aku aku shadow line up, jump and then there you have it

just picked this up a couple of days ago, already beat all the levels for 2 and 3 but stuck at Slippery Climb (never played Crash 1 before, but been told it's hard so I don't feel bad) so I was told to get the gem in this level so I can unlock a bunch of extra lives so I can take that level on without panicking as much so I'm hoping this video will help me out once I decide to try again (bloody lizards killed me)

I just bought the trilogy for Nintendo switch and I thought that in order to get that embrio token I thought I had to hit the exclamation point box that's visible past the 4 moving walls then work my way all the way back to the box and bounce to get the token
Just jump straight up when the platform reaches peak height for the Aku mask.
WOW way to make it look easy!
If u line up crashes shadow with the second Aku Aku and jump while line up you can get the Aku Aku

Do you have to get every box in the Tawna round and in the Nbrio bonus round in order to get the gem, or just get every box without dying in the regular game? Awesome job btw! Also, I am playing the PS2 version. 🤣
Every box in the stage and both bonus levels without dying. You can die in the bonus stages though, so you can retry those as much as you want before moving on.

Do you know how to get the Tawna level back so I can try to get all the boxes after you’ve already passed it? I just went the safest route so I could save my game and now her levels never come up once I’ve done that. :(

I just completed the level without dying and collecting all boxes. It only took me 4 to 5 attempts.
I try not to watch these because I feel like I’m cheating but I looked at the original run for this game and there was no bonus level. I figured a lot out through that other video I always spun those thing because they alway made me lose lives to easily otherwise.

Update i finally got the green gem so pardon my french FUCK YES I finally got it i was able to keep 1 aku aku so i could make 1 mistake i got to the top did the bonus levels and somewhere along the top i lost 1 aku aku had 1 left i lost it with the bats and lizard platforms on the top so im like ok that was my one mistake i did the final platforms with no aku aku i was so happy

Why is my box at 4:45 a checkpoint? It was a question mark the first 20 or so tries and now it’s a check point
The N.Sane Trilogy has a mercy mechanic that adds checkpoints to sections of levels that you die in a lot. I think if you die 7 times in a section, a mercy checkpoint gets added.
I can not jump off that lizard for the life of me????
I know how to do it but the game screws me here i can't do a no death run here you should be able to reset the count by gaining the life back that you lost but no that would help the player get the gem
say I if you died at the red lizard by trying to spin it so you stopped the video at 13:37 waiting for yourself to get back there.
