    I just purchased a Tallon 22 in Red. I overlooked this pack for the longest. I initially wanted a brand that wasnt as popular as Osprey (wanted to give Osprey direct competitors a chance) , but there’s no denying how multi-functional this backpack is. Osprey really did a fantastic job with The Tallon series.

      Despite their massive marketing presence and ubiquitous nature on the hills, Osprey do actually make a very good rucksack! Thanks for watching.

    Very nice review brother! Im only days away from getting mine in the mail. Researched it for weeks and took the chance.
    Great thing is I've seen over a dozen vids on this pack and yours is the first that actually demonstrates the lid lock for helmets. Cheers for that!

    How far towards the front of my body should the hip pockets be? I just received my Talon 22 and they barely make it to the my side of my waists. Loosened all the straps too. Can someone tell me if that's normal or should I get a larger pack? I'm 5'9 and 185lb. For some reason I thought the side pockets would be closer to the front of my body for easy access. Any info would be appreciated.

    • @trekitt

      They're in the correct position if they're on the side. I'm not sure why they're not on the front but I'm sure Osprey have a logical reason! Harry

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 6 lety

      The raincover is only absent on their super lightweight packs to save weight, on packs such as the Stratos which are a little more substantial the raincover is included. Kind regards, Harry.

    Hi, is it S/M size or M/L ? Thanks

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 6 lety

      This particular pack was a M/L. Paul is around 6ft 3, therefore the back length needs to be longer to suit his height.

  • @db7610

    Just got my T22, heading to Everest BC in a couple of weeks - just what I was looking for, fully adjustable, and good for a tall guy! Great review, thank you for the explaining the features Paul. RRP is £90.00 in some stores, Trekitt sells for £74.20 - bargain in my opinion on a pack for life i feel.
    Paul i do need a hydration pack to add in to the external compartment provided, where would you advise the run the tube? Or just leave it hanging? Many thanks, happy trailing.

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 7 lety

      Thank you for the kind words! In regards to the hose; once you've threaded it over the shoulder straps and through the elastic, you can simply leave it dangling down as it'll only hang by a few inches. Osprey do make a Magnet Kit to allow you to fasten a magnet to the hose, meaning once you've had your drink you can clip the bite valve back onto the magnet. Unfortunately we've totally sold out of these, however I'll pop the link below if you want to have a better look at it. Regards, Harry.

    I wish there was a side to side review of the S/M and M/L size. Will give Us buyers a better idea since most of this are being ordered online.

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 6 lety +1

      Unfortunately there is no easy way to demonstrate the length of both; it all depends on your back length. For example, Paul is 6ft 3" and wears a M/L, however someone around 5ft 8" would most likely wear the S/M, but we couldn't guarantee this as this person may feature most of their height in their upper body.
      What we can do is if you find a pack which you need exact measurements for, give us a ring and we can measure the length of the pack and compare it to your back length. Our number is 01432 263335.

    • @mjojrjr6231

      Thanks for your reply, I'm torn between this and the Deuter Futura 22. How would You compare them since they both offer 22 liters?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 6 lety

      The Futura 22SL is a female specific pack, so you'd want to compare the Futura 24 if you've been considering the Talon. In regards to the differences, the Talon is lighter, however the Futura has a much more breathable back system. You can't go wrong with either, however we'd recommend trying both on with some weight to feel the difference.

    • @mjojrjr6231
      @mjojrjr6231 Před 6 lety

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  Před 6 lety +1
