maybe she knows you're telling the truth but doesn't want to admit she's feeling lonely and wants a pet what if "because something as small as you wouldn't be stealing from something as powerful as I" was a subtle threat to play the part or else, it also kinda lines up with the rest of the lines except for the eating parts but maybe that's just dragon instincts or something, hopefully that's the case because otherwise we'll die of dehydration before we even last a week

I like how she regards her treasure not as an accumulation of wealth or means of satisfying greed. But rather regards building her hoard as a sort of passion or hobby. Similar to how some people find meaning in collections, gardening, or some practice of artwork.

Honestly, this is a pretty great deal. Someone who cares about us and thinks we are special, that's what everyone deserves. So long as she is willing to buy that we need to eat, I could enjoy a life with this dragon. She's gentle, caring, and she makes good points on worth. Pardon the bad pun, but I'm sold on her :)

When she said she was gonna lay on top, I thought this was gonna be a [DEATH] audio after all. If we're here to stay, we could probably turn her into a mother that spoils us.
The most common pet name for a partner in German is "Schatz" which means treasure. So in my head the dragon's confusion already had double meaning.
It's also how precious was translated in Lotr. Treasure does exist as Tresor but this refers to a safe or vault
The croc/gator bellows were a nice touch, proof of how calm she is.

Itâs funny, I feel this story would almost work better if the listener *was* a sort of sentient manifestation of a dragons horde.
Like they had just gained consciousness and a human(oid) form, unaware of what they truly are and having to immediately parlay with the dragon whoâs treasure created them. This living being of gold and jewels, literally the embodiment of the treasure stored within the cave.
Crystalline white diamond and sapphire eyes, smooth platinum skin decorated with gold and jewels, a magic being willed into existence thought he sheer magnitude of ambient magic energy emanating from a powerful dragon. A bejeweled centerpiece that can hold a conversation, a creature of living metal and stone, with brilliantly gold hair encrusted with rubies and emeralds, like a strange fusion between an automaton and golem, yet with the self-awareness and mental faculties of a human.
That said this is an exceptional video and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Now I need to Stat out a hoard golem for my D&D games...

we are bound to this place now
Most treasure in this pile probably belonged to humans or other human like creatures, so it would be interesting if the reason that treasure manifestation take on human like form was because of memories related to it's previous owners.
I mean I don't think that gems or coins can contains memories, but pretty much all their "life" those things were shaped, traded and cherished by humans, so by that some parts of those humans probably stayed inside those treasures.
It's actually a nice base for character - You have pretty much surface understanding of people and basic knowledge how they should work, maybe some fragments of strong feeling of memories related to it's previous owners and believe to be one of them, but lack of any solid memories except for some echoes of adventurers of old.
Like in this situation you would probably believe that you're human and that you just lost your memories somehow, and later when you would compare yourself to others you would just believe that you've been cursed and that's the reason you don't remember anything and are covered with gold and other treasure.
Day 6: The dragon still thinks I'm a manifestation of their gold.I'm at the point of becoming a treasure god with all the jewels of the land.

OK, now I want to see Mother Macabre do a video where an Asian dragon interacts with the viewer! Asian dragons are usually very wise and kind, so it'd be interesting to see one being friendly and nice to the viewer right away.
Now Iâm just imagining a scenario where an ancient Asian dragon has lost its pearl in the grasslands nearby and is trying her best to politely interrogate us and subtly sniffing around our picnic for her pearl, sheâs embarrassed when we notice and we help her look for it, maybe some licks or coiling when we find it lol

I mean, even though there is no death in this particular audio, this story will most likely end in it. Either the listener truly reveals their identity and convinces her that sheâs mistaken, or the listener starves to death because sentient treasure doesnât need to eat.
For some reason I canât stop thinking that listener is literally just a gold golem with memories of a past thief
plot twist, the dragon knows full well you're just a thief trying to steal from her and is just messing with you because she finds it far more amusing.
