    Hi! I don't have a youtube/booktube chanel but I do spend a lot of time here in my free time. Time I should be reading, that is 😁😁😁 I just wanted to tell you how I love your content and how is inspires me to really read what we love. There are too many fantasy/fiction channels here and it is a breath of the freshest air to watch your videos. I watched your favorite books and the bookshelf tour and I loved how you have non fiction / short stories collections/ biographies and essays along with your fictions books too. Keep up and I hope to see more of your videos. Really inspiring content!

      Hi Diana!! This is such a sweet message! I'm so so happy you're here, and I agree! Its sometimes hard to find people reading different kinds of books (there is a great, yet teeeeeny community reading lit fiction, short stories and the like haha) I hope your reading is fruitful and explorative and self-directed. Reading books we love is what its all about!

    @andreaburton7836 Před rokem

    This is the first video I've ever seen of yours but every single one of these recommendations sounds incredible, I'm convinced! I immediately added all to them I haven't read to my TBR. If you're a big fan of books originally written in Spanish, with beautiful prose, and which focus on female friendship, I recommend Nada by Carmen Laforet! It's about an eighteen year old girl living in Barcelona after the Spanish Civil War, and her relationship with her family and a classmate, Ena. The Edith Grossman translation is a gift. I also think you would really enjoy The Time of the Doves by Mercè Rodoreda, another book about a young woman in Barcelona in and around the Spanish Civil War, which was originally written in Catalan and has some of the most beautiful prose I've read in my life. The author has the most whimsical, playful, introspective style--it changed me. Lastly, I adore Elena Ferrante, and I'm wondering if you've checked out any other Italian authors, like Natalia Ginzburg. Ginzburg's style is much more sparse, but it's cutting and psychologically astute. I loved this video! Can't wait to see what else you recommend.
