In this video, we will touch on 5 different qualities that can greatly improve the quality in your physical movement. This is not the end-all-be-all but it is a good starting point for your investigation into this important question.

    it's nice to see how practicing is deeply linked to expressing one's existential philosophy. This can be applied to all the activities we carry out, I would like to be able to change my way of seeing things from this perspective

    Thanks for sharing, decreasing lacunas might be my favorite point in this video. It has a good carry over into dance and parkour

    Interesting insights! Would love to see some tutorials on the acrobatic movements you showed! Or maybe acrobatics in general :)

      Thank you, I hope they are applied and investigated well! As far as acrobatic tutorials, it has been on my mind in the past. I will give it some more thought.

      I really appreciate the support! I do want to say though, if you sincerely didn't think a video is quality also consider disliking that particular video. Keep me honest, humble and always working to improve.

      @TheTaoWay probably a better idea to leave some feedback, instead of just disliking. :)
      You are very proficient at everything you (dare) teach. I can always smell the process you went through. Keep it up.

    Hey! Great video. You once had a series of handstand tutorials which was very helpful for me. I think you erased it a few days ago. I was wondering why, are you going to make a new tutorial for handstands?

    Bravo. I love this video. And I appreciate your movement application and discipline. I wonder though about the use of the word "quality" to describe what seem like movement training techniques or variables. What you are doing seems measurable to a degree. When I think about quality it is slightly more descriptive and subjective. I think about fluid, staccato, sharp, agitation, expansion, etc. I'm curious about your thoughts on this. Cheers.

      @TheTaoWay  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you, I am glad you liked the video.
      As to your observation, this is actually exactly what the video is addressing. You gave some descriptions of quality such as 'fluid', 'sharp' and 'expansion' but how do we make our movements more fluid, sharp or expansive? This is what this video is about. Not giving descriptions of quality but understanding how to develop these descriptions.

    I hold a M.S. in Education with Specializations in Instructional Design and Online Learning. This video highlights a defect in Instructional Design that I frequently encounter when working with Subject Matter Experts. I'll give you the proverbial "short answer." You are attempting to teach Subtraction and Addition by using Computational Physics as your instructional vehicle.

    • @maxd1744
      @maxd1744 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Could you elaborate, I do not perceive the disconnect between the concept being teached and the instructional vehicle.
      I'm interested in your perception.

      Still haven't earned your GED yet, eh, weanling?

    • @The-Contractor
      @The-Contractor Před 5 měsíci

      @@maxd1744 Fair question. There's no disconnect perse. He's introducing novel (to those of us not highly skilled in body flow) concepts through two primary sensory input channels, visual and auditory.
      Our mind is attempting to reconcile the two streams of sensory input in order to create a unified, synthetic whole (fully grasping the newly presented information). In formal disciplines learning is defined as: A permanent change in behavior.
      Experts do difficult things with great ease, hence, expert. I found myself watching in awe at how smooth and seamless his performance was rather than wholly focusing on the information he was attempting to convey. That's not a frame of mind conducive to learning.

    • @TheTaoWay
      @TheTaoWay  Před 5 měsíci +7

      Firstly, I do not appreciate your comment attacking others by saying 'Still haven't earned your GED yet...'. This shows immaturity on your part. Secondly, this video is not a tutorial or a how-to video. It is digging much deeper into a bigger question of 'What is Quality'. To use your analogy, it is not a simple equation of subtraction or addition such as A + B = C. It is more, why and how do you get 'C'. This video is aimed at getting you to investigate and not giving you clear cut motions. I want to elicit deeper thought and practice into this question. Of course, this is not what we are used to with most social media posts with hacks, quick tips and tricks. That is not what I want to offer.
