HIKMICRO CONDOR CQ35L FIELD TESTED.
In this video, I'm using a new Thermal Spotter with a built in laser range finder. Guessing distances at night, no longer has to be a problem. This handy scope that weighs just over a pound, fits comfortably in your pocket, or hangs from a lanyard, without causing any problems.
I've taken out another HikMicro spotter to do a comparison for you to get an idea of how the quality changes when you have the lower resolution sensor on a scope.

Thanks for overview. Im interested getting a thermal spotter, been researching for months, never had one before, currently using nv binoculars. Want to get it right first time, even if it means a few more quid a month on the repayments.
Will be mostly for at night, foxing but also would like something suitable for going through the woods deer stalking etc.
Was first thinking of a lynx 2.0 25mm but the lrf would be a good addition, so started looking at condors, theres the ch25 which looks decent, ch35 which might have too high a base mag, then this one the cq35 which is probably the crème de la creme, beating even the 50mm for versatility due to the lower base mag.
For your money, buying for yourself, would you go the extra for the "Q" sensor or not see that much of a benefit over the "H"?

Thanks for your very detailed message.
I entered the thermal world by buying on finance Pulsar products.
I think it’s a bit like buying and selling cars, buy your first on finance and then you can later sell it to upgrade to something bigger or better.
That’s exactly how I’ve done it, although now I do get kit on loan to use and test, but that’s only through a lot of hard work and perseverance.
If you can stretch to getting a “Q” model, go for it 👍

It would be well worth your while getting a thermal spotter with an LRF - really useful and you'll probably end up getting one with an LRF eventually anyway.
It might also get harder to move on non-LRF spotters, as the LRF versions become more common, and more shooters want them.

@@wolfysmith4752 Thanks, I agree totally. Going to try some out next week hopefully at my RFD, I am thinking like many say, get the best I possibly can as buying twice is more expensive!
