Going barefoot and working in rural Tanzania means dirty feet and soles most of the time. Today I am helping my neighbors clean the cow shed. They sell milk and other things in our area.
Would you clean a cow barn barefoot?
Going barefoot can be gradual. Incorporate it into your favorite activities or some of your daily activities. Before long, you would be spending hours barefoot inside and even in the outdoors. Give it a try for the many incredible benefits

The owner of the farm and her family are always happy to see us, and were happy with the results of my cleaning. Being barefoot didn't affect the outcome of my efforts. What work do you think must be done in shoes, or can any type of work be done barefoot?
I would wear shoes where I walk in bits of glass or metal that can cut up my feet or if things fall and fly around that would endanger my toes. As is the case in some workshop environments and building sites.
But a lot of work is in no such danger zones.
@uncipaws Very good points! The good thing is more and more zero drop shoes are becoming avaliable, for one working in such environments, to choose from (price may be one of the main considerations).
@@barefoothomestead Protective shoes are a compromise. Ideally shoes would be like a glove, soft and only protecting from the cold. But to protect from injury they need to be hard like a helmet, so the best you can get is "zero drop" and hopefully wide enough toebox for your individual needs. (I don't know of any brand that actually comes in different widths)
And only wear those when really required.
@@barefoothomestead Please new vídeos dirty feet madame
@@barefoothomestead new vídeos dirty feet in manure...please
Some jobs are traditionally done barefoot because feet are easier to clean than shoes ...
@uncipaws The owner of the farm asked me why I go into the barn barefoot; I told her it's easier to clean my feet than dirty shoes. She laughed 😅
I have lived on a farm and barefoot in the cow sheds was normal life for me in all weather rain or shine...feels so satisfying to be at one with nature and animal like 👣 so enjoy this and would love to see more farmwork 👣
@Messy bare feet Do you still live or do some work on a farm? I ask because you certainly have access to some good messy stuff 🙂. And I do plan on sharing more farm work videos.
@@barefoothomestead I live on a caravan next to a cow farm and I collect manure for the allotments 👣
@Messy bare feet Ah I see. Very nice 🙂
Yes, i would! I would love it!
@barefootworker, glad you would!
I so enjoy your barefoot farm life and prefer being barefoot in all seasons on the farm....including mucking out cows and pigs 👣
Very good you're helping out!
@AYU Thank you!
After reading other people's comments, it seems that a few people also enjoy working on a farm barefoot. I personally have not tried it yet to go to a farm in my barefeet. I bet your feet smell lovely after working in a cow barn.
@Paul Foulds I was happy to see that there are others that enjoy it too. I hope you get a chance to try it out someday. As you know, cow dung has an earthy smell so it certainly can be described as lovely 🙂.
Seriously this is Awesome
Thank you 🙂
I don't think I will ever not love the sensation of cow poo squished between my bare toes! It's just the best feeling ever. And I love how my feet look at the end of the day
@Jenni Henderson I like how my feet look at night also. And it's interesting to see the progress of my toughening soles.
@@barefoothomestead I can't believe how tough bare feet can be. When I first went to work barefoot I never imagined that would get to the stage where I don't really have to think at all about my feet and what I'm stepping in or on.
@Jenni Henderson I am looking forward to having feet like yours one day 😀
@@barefoothomestead From what I can see, it looks like your feet are getting really tough :) Throwing all my shoes was the best thing I ever did.
I so enjoy hearing this and feel the same after a day on the mucky farm 👣
Wow wow I haven’t tried it yet. I’m not sure yet if I will feel gross if I do but it’s a good thing you don’t mind doing the barn cleaning barefoot . Congratulations 🎉 great video 😮
@Life Without Filters Thank you! I wasn't sure either about how I would feel, but I knew I was going there barefoot. Several weeks ago, my husband was explaining to our neighbor that we do everything barefoot, but she wondered if we really meant everything. When we asked to help with the cows and we later arrived ready to work, barefoot, she was finally convinced that we were serious 😂😂. Are there any small livestock farms close to where you live?
@@barefoothomestead that’s great to hear they finally realised you mean “business” 😉 There are cattle farms here but they are huge sitting in hectares of land.
Superb !!!
@Super H Thank you 🙂
@@barefoothomestead love it!!! Please new vídeos crush manure inbflip FLOPS smearing and barefoot in chickent manure, thanks madame

No problem. This is now part of my routine so I can certainly add farm work videos to my other type of content. 🙂
Yes
@Kalana Ranasinghe It's good to know I have company all over the world 🙂
People said that is “ therapeutic “ too!!!
@andrea pesabene I agree. 🙂
I work at farm barefoot since 2011...even in winter... no problem for my feet
@Mike Barefooter That's amazing! Winter was the hardest for my barefeet! I don't have the cold weather super power, but I am getting there slowly. Do you mind telling me a little more about how you started going barefoot? I am working on a stories video and I would like to add your story.
@@barefoothomestead I have many videos of my barefoot lifestyle.... do you have Instagram or Facebook??
@Mike Barefooter I don't but maybe I can still find you. Is your handle there "Mike Barefooter" as well?
It's very nice, that you not afraid cow manure under your feet. Beautiful. All work must be done barefoot, not need shoes. Only many sharp pieces of metal can be excuse for shoes.
@T1horn You are right 🙂
Love it do more in chicken house too please
@John Billet Sounds good. Chicken house video is in the pipeline 🙂
@@barefoothomestead thanks your nice

@leongieco2 Thank you. 🙂
If I had a cow barn I would
And I think you would like it too. it's so much easier cleaning your bare feet after work in the barn than it would be shoes.🙂
@@barefoothomestead yup just 10 second rinse and they're clean 🙂
@Chet Youbetchya Absolutely my friend 🙂
I love doing this sort of work with my always bare feet.
@barefoot crutches That's great! Thanks for sharing. It was nice seeing you go barefoot on your channel. Please how did your barefoot journey begin or why did you choose to go barefoot?
@@barefoothomestead It's a long story... I've been barefoot for several years. I was always interested in being barefoot but was a bit shy about taking the final step of going from flip flops to totally bare feet. Due to an injury I was finding the flip flops uncomfortable and the doctor suggested I go barefoot for six weeks until my next appointment. Then he put my flip flops in his drawer and told me I could come back for them... in six weeks time. I was used to going barefoot at home and I thought my soles were pretty tough, but it took time to adjust to 24/7 bare feet. It was mid-winter so not ideal barefoot conditions. However, by the end of the six weeks I was really enjoying doing everything bare-footed, my feet were toughening up nicely and I was liking my new barefoot look (and getting used to my feet always being dirty). I went back to the next doctors appointment and told him I was going to stick with the bare feet.
@barefoot crutches A very nice story indeed! Thanks so much for sharing 😊 I sure hope to feature you in a video in the future.
Its one of the few things I wouldn't even consider without some protection on my feet. Eew.
Really? 🤣🤣
My dear, this is the best chance for you to increase the barefoot time durations. Which can make more fast to be hard & though. Do you know why she feel happy with your results ? Please read my mail. For us, with really hate all foot wear from we was born, of course we must do any activities without foot ware !! This is our life style forever . Never afraid ! We are have the same habits my dear !!
@深田中 Thank you, my dear! Like you, I am barefoot 24/7 and enjoy it very much. My soles are getting tougher and I am getting fewer questions from people. It's a win win! 🙂
@@barefoothomestead Yes , As I said, poeple for the 1st - 3rd time will ask. But for the next & next, the number of the questions will be decrease. Me also the same. Then prepare the answer my dear ! As I said chenge the subject or just answer "I like barefoot enywhere" to close that topic; "Ya ! This is my style ha ha ha " to make the atmosphere just take a joke to clsose the topic. Then slightly help poeple surrounding like this video. Make other persons help you to answer. You need together with her to the markets, sure she will help you to answer. DOn't be worry again. Everythings just sharing to me, we are BBF forever .
@@barefoothomestead Just answer the questions as my instrucitons . Never worry it. And can't stop ouyr barefoot 24/7 at all
