Manhwa readers who hate the animation style obviously aren't real fans. People tend to forget how whacky the art style was in the first few arcs of the manhwa and this anime is successful (in a way) in catching it. Besides, we still have to see the extent of the abilities that the animators of Netflix are going to go which will hopefully be shown in the upcoming warehouse fight scene in the next season.

@@bush3126 I mean I got a little bit shocked too when some characters especially DG got their hair done different but I slowly got used to it. Besides animation is hard and takes lots of time, dedication and effort so props and kudos to the animators who worked for this. Still waiting for s2.

But the funny thing is, now. in highschool, I became more attractive than everyone else in my middle school including the one who bullied me.

No the animation is bad in general, it's still frames with action lines and repetitions, but it's obvious it's due to constraints with either time or budget. They are making do with with spending that money with key animators and such for scenes like 1:21, strategically spending money on areas than need good animation.
i love how people say bullshit like "if you dont like the animation you are just a hater", like please, i have rewatched lookism 480 chapters in like 5 days but the animation is still trash. if you actually say this animation is good, you simply have no clue about animation and have never watched anything else - and you are just a fanboy that likes anything that the company gives to you. my 7 year old nephew could have animated this better.

He hasnt mastered any martial arts, he just remembers moves his bullies used on his previous body, and since his new body is more mobile he is able to amateurishly replicate it with better speed and strength
I just started reading the manga , as far I know this guy is peak human . He can learn faster than others and copy the moves of his opponents

If your impression of lookism is about just bullying, then you might feel off later when later parts of webtoon get animated. Bullying is just one facet of the story, quite a huge arc tbh but it's just a small part of the overarching plots of the story! I hope the hype now won't backstab the series later in the future. readers might feel they are scammed if they continue to expect that lookism is all about bullying 😭😭😭

Bro i am korean and I watched baby korean tv shows growing up but I just noticed some of the voice actors in lookism is the voice actors in my childhood tv show..
Jin Seong should've followed what Mijin's word if he wanted to be date her, it's his attitude that made Mijin doubted him. Though he became my favorite character later in story

To be honest, I am use to Japanese animation style. But somehow this reminds me of Justice League kind of art style/character design. Which I don't mind. At first it's a bit of a drag but it turns out well Thou I think part of this anime feels like it's going to be a fight club beezelbub kind of school, minus the demons and power.

I don't know why the hindi dubbing felt better or maybe it is seeming natural to me because of my language .
It became my favorite anime. However One thing made me disappointed what I didn't wish to. About Park Hyung seok, concealing his real body. He couldn't able to prove himself like Seong Jin did. He kept hiding his real identity. I wished that It would be Hyung seok's real body which was bullied by everyone found against everyone. I wanted he perform the song along with Seong Jin not wit his perfect body. ) Personal opinion)
It's trash in my opinion 'cuz there is no meaning in this story. What is the lesson? Dream about a second body? Main character didn't improve in anything, he just got body that by a miracle can do anything,lol. I was hoping he would lose this first fight and then start some karate training, at some point his perfect body disappears, he starts working out in his real body and becomes a cool guy. But all we got is some nonsense. Not even an explanation about how these new bodies appeared.

Spoilers below about why he didn't lose:
He was bound to win this fight, why? His body is legit Peak Human in this verse like Perfect in everyway possible down to the muscle, bone, and build. So he outclasses Zack Lee (Lee Jinsung) in every aspect except martial arts at this CURRENT time. Second, Daniel has a special talent to perfectly copy fighting moves/techniques, even martial arts and use them perfectly (only problem is Daniel's (Hyungseok) mentality and hesitation when fighting (when he gets in a state where hesitation is removed he becomes a monster that the like sof Mikey become absolute FODDER). Third, Zack Lee (Jinsung) at this time was a bit rusty in boxing.

Someone was influenced a bit from Raimi’s Spider-Man.
Why do people keep saying "if you don't like the art you're not a REAL fan" like people aren't allowed to have opinions about an art style that's objectively not up to par with a lot of modern anime. I've been with lookism since early days and I'm beyond glad to see it animated but it's not like Taejun Pak walked into the animation studio himself and drew this. It's alright to enjoy a series and even an adaptation and still acknowledge obvious flaws. It's not like people who say it looks mid are hating on the source content or even the adaptation itself, it's just an acknowledgment that the art isn't exactly up to par with a lot of newer stuff. Let people have opinions man, they don't have to act like everything is perfect OR ELSE we'll never get another adaptation again or smth. People pretending like flaws aren't there is how we get stuff like game companies getting away with mid or unfinished games (or, on a more personal note, how we'll get more stuff like the God of Highschool anime absolutely marauding the story and side-character development. but hey, it's all goOd because it looked good amirite lolloloololl big monke dragonball time lolololol).
PS: in b4 people are like "first lookism chapters didn't look that good." The first lookism chapters were made by an individual developing his art skills (maybe with a small team, I don't know that level of detail.) This is an anime made by a long-time professional studio and they have the latest chapters as reference if they want a more detailed character design. It's not like they're locked behind webtoon daily pass and can't use later stuff as source reference. These people are very reasonably held to a higher art standard, as they should be. To pretend otherwise is ridiculous. I'm not saying we should hate on the show, but I don't think that acknowledging the art is not incredible is going to ruin someone's life and is a valid criticism that people should be allowed to state given they aren't just blind hating.
TLDR: Let people have opinions. You aren't going to hurt the studio's feelings and critique is a very valid method by which a studio or artists can improve anyways. If nobody gives any valid criticisms people wouldn't learn and improve in anything. Of course compliment where there's things to compliment but people shouldn't be downtrodden for legitimately stating an opinion that the art is not incredible in some aspect, but also don't be a hater cause those are equally annoying as the fan who justifies everything. People are also just... allowed to have opinions and state them online even if you don't share the sentiment, the internet wasn't made just for you...
