You might consider doing a head with the little white balls to get the right feel, then do one with clay. You could also freeze little clay balls hard, do the head, then add the iris once they soften.
Adorable, her expression is wonderful.
Mate.... I'm so glad you didn't give up, your work is phenomenal, i actually got a little excited when i seen on my phone feed that you had uploaded a video. i don't sculpt but i really like your Vids, truly amazing dude.... please keep this up and hopefully we can help get your subs up as you do deserve it. cheers man can't wait for the next one.
Thank you Stephen. It means so much to me that you enjoy the video as a non-sculptor :)
My dude. You are so wholesome and I love it.
Yay you got the pupils in. And I love the way you did that. As always jealous and humbled by your talent/imagination
You have inspired me to give chavant NSP clay a try instead of polymer clay (what I'm used to). Your videos are great and have so much personality especially seeing you go through your creative process! You're doing amazing! 😇
Hey you can do amazing things with polymer that toucan't with NSP too. I wish I can bake my sculpts hard lol.
But seriously though thank you :)
This piece was adorable.
I love the fact that you explain all the ways you passed through.
Thank you :) I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos!
All your vidios are so amazing. Hard to believe you have only been sculpting for such a short amount of time. You have a gift my friend
You’re very kind, thank you :)
Can this be considered the first official Art Chong sculpting speedrun attempt? Feel like the honey jar (very nice addition btw) can get some extra use by being filled with plastic balls so you never run out of eyes for future projects.
Love the sculpture and love the beauty shots at the end, the way it was edited made it feel like it told a short little story. :)
I... think so! Even though I'm pretty sure 25 hours is not great for a speedrun lol. I'll take it anyway
I'm so glad to know you felt like the shots at the end told a story! I work really hard to make those more interesting than just shots of a finished sculpture, and you'd be surprised at how few people stay to watch it, even after they've seen the rest of the video lol
What an amazing sculpture you've created, again! I enjoyed watching you go through the creation process and how you make adjustments/changes as needed. Very impressed with ever part of the sculpture! Especially the preciseness of every muscle in the body and creases in the clothing, etc. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Sylvia :) Yeah I was actually surprised how well the creases on the dress came out lol. I was not confident I was going to be able to get them looking good going in
You did great! I can't believe with the talent you have, you still have doubts about your work! For those of us who have no talent in that department, your work is perfect!!
I love it! te bee with the flower is my fav
Thanks! Yeah I love that little bee so much lol
Great job catching the excitement in her face!
When you put the bee on... it was a painful moment for me watching him squish lol 16:20
Thank you :) i'm glad to know the expression reads. Yeah that was kind of a nerve wracking moment when I pushed him onto the heated wire lol
Love it a lot! Also, I like your sincerity!
Thank you :) I appreciate that
Your happiness when you put the sculpture on top of the honey jar is the best thing I've seen today haha
Haha thank you. I live for moments like that :D
Love your speed Skills :)
Thank you for that video. it is always a plesure to view them.
Thank YOU Stefan :) I appreciate you watching and your encouragements
Great~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!! ♥♥♥
Thank you :)
I follow a lot of sculpturing channels, and what I really really like about your channel, beside your amazing skill and super cool videos, is that you take us with you through the entire process and share your inspiration, ideas and also struggles with us! ❤
Thank you Micca, I appreciate you :)
Well I like your intuition of art, you're easy to inspired from something around you, even in a podcast.. Well your taste is unique though, First comment by the way hehehe...
Congrats on first lol!
Thank you :) Inspiration can come from anywhere I suppose.
This was very enjoyable, thank you.
thank YOU for watching :)
Hey Pailin - your brother creates beautiful things.
That's amazing. I just can't understand why there is not that much of likes
Time constrain once in a while is definitely a good thing. After all, if two people can do the exact same thing, the one that does it faster is definitely the better one. Love the end result as usual bro 😁
Haha, yeah this was a fun one. Thank youuu
I just love it, perrrfect!
Thank you :)
I love your honesty when you don't know what to do... and then carry on anyway. It's great! Step out of the comfort zone and succeed.
Thank you Jenny :) I’m trying my best
Love the story, love the result, kudos for trying the eyes even if it didn't work out. Lovely!
Thanks Sam. Yeah, I did learn from the experience regardless. Mostly that I need more practice lol
Loved the process, love the sculpts man. Keep it up. I also have that exact honey jar :D
Haha nice. Thanks Robert
Your works are very beautiful and a great incentive for me, I see that I still have a lot to learn.
Thank you :) I think I have a lot to learn too. We all do 😭
Just finished listening to the podcast. Truly inspirational. Crazy that you've only been doing this for a couple of years. I think you and your sister are the type of people that will excel in whatever field you apply yourselves to. In another world, Pailin would be sculpting and you would be preparing Mango Sticky Rice. I'd love to see your movie. I suspect it's actually pretty darn good, and that you simply focused on the more negative feedback. Keep doing what you're doing. I love it.
Oh thank you David. No, really the movie wasn't very good at all lol.
Bro I'm more than 100% sure this channel will expole. Your comment about not knowing whether the part is bad or not good enough was right on spot for me either. Thank you and please keep posting.
Dude, thank you!!! I hope it'll explode too lol. Don't worry, I'll keep posting. Next one coming soon :)
this is pretty coool! i love your videos. would be cool to see you in a futur sculptandskoll
Haha, I show up there occasionally. It comes up at Monday 9am for me and it's hard to make time for it
@@ArtChongArt i plan to host a america version, it will start at 6pm new york time. i'm with Gabriel on that to plan it.
Hi aww so lovely. X
1k de views é muito pouco pra esse canal, vc é muito talentoso, merece mais relevância...
Muito obrigado :) Você é muito gentil (traduzido do inglês via Google)
Just a little note
I think this character design could’ve benefited a lot from some fuzzy little arm cuffs :-))
Great work!
Awesome challenge, you did awesome. It’s funny because at the end when you said you cheated and did about another hour, I thought oh that’s ok I would have done the same but my daughter was like “He failed” and I said no it’s ok and she said a fail is a fail and you failed, lol. She liked the sculpt though😊
Haha well you can tell her I agree that I failed in the way she’s describing and also thank you and her for watching!
You deserve more views your sculpting is great
Thank you :) I appreciate that
That was so fast omg !
Cute concept suits you very well 😂 You should mix some cute and epic stuff hahaha.
This video was a bit of an emotional rollercoster for you 😂
As always, very good video, very good sculpture, good storytelling, good humor, the work done on the anatomy and especially the muscles is amazing ! This fairy is very fit.
I like it a lot ! It's nice to have a new video so soon but don't overwork yourself !
I'll check out the podcast, is it in english / french ?
I lost a bit of my mojo recently, and it's really difficult for me to choose ideas and draw. You just made me want to get some work done. Tomorrow i'm gonna kick my ass and draw something. Thank you for the motivation regain, your positivity and good mood work well on me 😂
Thank you Juliette ☺️☺️ I'm so glad you like it. Yeah apparently this fairy works out a lot lol.
The podcast is like half English half French, depending on the guest/episode. Mine is in English, haha.
I'm sorry you've lost some mojo lately 😔😔 It happens to all of us, I think. Don't be too hard on yourself. Having huge floods occur near you probably doesn't help either. But I'm happy to provide any little motivation I can :) Can't wait to see your next works 🙌🙌
This is a beautiful sculpture! Just subscribed! Can I ask you what type of wire did you use to attach the bee?
Yeah Time laps Tuesday !
😂😂
Oh my god it is so great - the face and the dress !! top
Merci :) Hope you're well buddy
I don't understand ... have you never rolled clay into little balls to preserve the roundness of the eyeball and then make eyelids from very thin wafers of clay? I think you are a remarkably talented Artist and skilled presenter. I thoroughly enjoy each video.
Wow This is awesome!!!!! Which clay did you use to make the woman?
Chanvant NSP. More technical details are in the description :)
Can I ask, where do you purchase your clay medium from? Does it have a specific name of the clay? You are way to hard on yourself honey, your extremely talented!! Love your art.
hi!! love your work!! i was wondering where can I buy this tiny plastic ball you use for the eyes :) thanks u so much for sharing your work!!
Thanks Elena :) They’re Delrin balls. I get them from McMaster.com
@@ArtChongArt thanks!!!🤗🤗
One and half year into sculpting? Man, I've started at the same time, but spent way, I mean WAAAAY less time practicing. Gotta go now, practice more :D Regards!
Hey everyone has their own pace :) As long as you're having fun with it, that's what matters
Amazing 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Btw what was the back ground music at last during the reveal?
Thank you :) The reveal music is "Night" by Scarlet Parke, instrumental version, licensed via Audiio.com
Do you paint any of yours sculptures? If no, why?
You are an amazing artist, thanks for the video, love from Brazil!!✌
Thank you! I don't paint any of my sculptures. I'm not particularly good at picking color schemes, and I think I'm more likely to ruin a sculpture than improve it with color lol
Nooo you never goin to ruin a sculpture, you're soo good!! LOL
Interestingly Cute🧚
she could've been the podcaster and the bee coulda been the camera man and the wire coulda been a flower stem or vine lol
What is the book your using for anatomical references ?
Anatomy For Sculptors
@@ArtChongArt Nice thank you 🙏🏼
@@ArtChongArt Thank you 🙏
Where do you get the plastic eyeballs, and is there a name to them ?
I got delrin balls from McMaster. They're fairly cheap so I just got a variety of sizes to fit different needs. Depending on your scale, you may be able to use beads for necklaces and such too
@@ArtChongArt thank you
What happens to your finished work? Do you sell it? This piece is lovely, made me smile all the while--I still have to get use to all the talking--it's me, not you. Just curious what happens to pieces when you finished.
Haha thank you. I’m glad it made you smile.
I don’t do anything with them at the moment. They just sit on the shelf looking nice :)
Lk.
do you sketch your idea out first?
What is the name of that book that was about human body?
Anatomy For Sculptors by Sandis Kondrats and Uldis Zarins
Good eye :)
Thank you very much, i was looking for a book like that!!
:)
quá đẹp luôn
im suprised you dont have more subscribers
What is your first video?
Fairy Princess vs. Demon Raider was the first
maybe you can make eyeballs out of clay first? let them dry and then use them like the plasticballs?
This type of clay (oil-based) doesn't harden, so that method is not possible. It's a good thought though. That's what I would do if I were working in polymer clay :)
Yeah Cute is fine, sexy too. - not offended here - also I am not an American so... ask an American friend they will tell you if they feel inconfortable :p Lmao
