After a last minute drop out, we urgently needed someone to fill their choux so the dough could go on. Step forward - Matt Lucas! Matt donned the Bake Off apron alongside broadcaster Annie MacManus, comedian Ed Gamble and singer-songwriter Example. The celebs made stained glass biscuits, raspberry doughnuts and a showstopping cake that represented a job they did before they were famous.

Noel baking would appear to be an absolute disaster, it would be weird, and yet somehow all come together in the end.

@@rogerdogger6969 they're pretty young and he keeps quiet about them usually for privacy's sake :) his oldest just turned 4 not long ago, and Rahul from the 2018 series baked her birthday cake!

I felt like he was trying too hard to be funny when first co-hosting GBBO but he seems to have settled in and is a lot more comfortable/natural now.

I have never thought this before when someone loses weight, but I’m not sure it suits him? Health wise, prob for the best. Looks wise (which really comes a distant second) i think the wee bit of extra body worked for him.

Just in case you wondering (& don't want to watch the full episode) spoiler- ML didn't win, shame as he was very good. He did get a handshake in full episode I watched- was it edited out later??
They never give the bakers enough time; it wouldn’t kill them to add another 30 minutes at least for each competition. And they should give each baker 15 minutes additional every time they are pestered by Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding - like flies in the batter. Contestants are under great pressure and need these distractions like holes in heads. Or at least put them to work.

Have I missed something or does Paul Hollywood not have a title how could this be the case? I mean some of the other people that have OBEs and what have you truly do not deserve it. And I think he deserves to get it from the queen... So to speak... So someone needs to get on it before she's gone.

I want to be on this show so badly. How long does it take to be a British resident if you have American citizenship? Just accept non-British candidates please! Noel is so kind and everyone is friendly. American shows are over dramatic.
The Canadian one is also friendly, though perhaps a little lower key than the British one.
Teri Hatcher and David Schwimmer have both been on this version of Bake Off.
