For the true basketball fans and not the stats sheet readers, this guy is definitely an all time Top 5 SG (even maybe Top 3 behind Michael and Kobe).
The game changed forever since he burst onto the scene.
Dwyane wade, john havlicek, jerry west, klay thompson > manu.
With that said, that man stood two to two with all of them and could out perform them on any given night. The difference is, barring klay all them dudes had to carry teams, were the primary focus of other teams defenses and competed for MVP in most of their seasons.
@@hiz24airness my man really said klay thompson🤡
@@ruggerfr count to 4 bro. That's how many people I named in front of manu after kobe and Jordan. Remove klay and he still ain't top 5 and damn sure ain't top 3. Your smooth with the cherry picking though. 🤫
@@hiz24airness klay thompson? are you f*cking kidding me? i do think manu is as good as dwade, maybe even better, but i could see the argument for wade and west to be better. Not Thompson. Maybe Havlicek.
Gibert said 'Jamal Crawford is better than Manu"
When he passed a ball between the legs of Norris Cole on the run....I just clapped. Pure genius
Norris Cole * lmao
and in a Finals game!
@@TheNeutralizer27 auto correct got me. Appreciate it buddy
Great showcase man. I just want to add, it wasn't about the iconic moments or that random block on Harden... it was something else, when the team needed a spark, he was always the guy with the matches. The defensive stops, the out-of-nowhere dunks or the unstopable pick and rolls that he invented game to game was a thing to watch.
You could sense the difference on the team's vibe when he jumped on the court from the bench or when clutch time was on.
Such a winner and so humble, what a combination.
King of the Eurostep 🤴
Manu is number 1 in the history of the NBA in wins percentage (over 72%) comparing players with more than 1,000 games. That's how good he was.
My favourite moment: his olympic gold medal with Argentina.
The only people that don’t like Manu are Suns, Lakers and Heat fans.
Love me some Manu. Just a joy to watch. I miss him….
My favorite player Manu ginobili20 here in the Philippines 🇵🇭
His herorics against 4 hofers in LA with Tim and Tony out nearly winning the game. Also after hitting the game winner against the bucks the night before, he repeated that against the nuggets. Then on the next possession Melo goes racing down into the paint with the ball and manu takes the charge to save the game. So many amazing plays over the years but how about Manu Kiss Cam?!?! Its on YT.
The ankle breaker on Kobe and the reverse eurostep on Shaq, all in the same play, will forever amaze me.
olympic gold medal ( and bronze)
euroleague champion
euroleague mvp
silver medal fiba wc 2002
4 times nba champion
six man of the year 2008
all time leader 3pt and steals (spurs franchise)
All time nba winningest player (72.1%)
7 all time 3pt leader playoffs
Most game winning shots in franchise history (10)
off the bench!! (nba)
He has two euro league titles actually
Ginobili is a basketball genius. A savant. His way of playing basketball is uniquely his. He sees and exploits angles that are not there for aother players. And whereever he played, he was a winner, no exceptions.
Growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s, at least how I remember it, Manu is about the most clutch player in NBA history.... It always seemed that the fourth quarter of every close playoff game was Manu time!!
Genius, magician, Unique , the Best , the beast , Manu is amazing a chosen by the god , is from another planet. Dear Manu, welcome to the HOF , you deserve it. I'm argentinian and so very happy
SG
1- michael jordan
2- kobe bryant
3- Manu Ginobili
Period.
Ay bruh I'm as big a manu fan as the next guy but cmon dog 💀💀
@@kenan-b He's not wrong. He could do everything on both ends, he raised his game in the playoffs. He hustled at each play like a role player sacrificing his body, but hitting clutch shots like a star the next play after. He was just too good at winning as any. I'd say Wade is right behind thought, he was a monster in his prime as well ✌️
@@kenan-b when manu played more than 30 minut score 30 ponits or more like 48, 46, 44, 42...... But manu is not only score.. Manu did everything, dunks, steel, drive, block, pass.... The most complete player i'd never see, after michael and Kobe the greatest of all time.
@@kenan-b i challeng u, i can show u a video with a hundred plays of Manu or more if u want
6th man goat, humble, clutch, high iq, fearless, winner, and also a champion.
My favorite : back to back decisive action vs Denver. One on offense with a magic split circus shot. Next on on defense with a offensive fault on Carmelo Anthony. W
That's something a genius like Manu could do.
Never knew Manu as a kid but I picked Spurs on NBA 2008 (EA) because he is a stealer and a good shooter, he can dunk and can finish near the rim. After that was history, really wanted to watch his games and 2012-2015 Spurs was a classic. Really loved how the group dished the ball around defenders. Gracias Manu and congrats on being a HOFer!
During the Spurs' peak they had a very textbook and methodic pase to their game. Manu was the sparkplug that made watching them exciting. The energy he brought off the bench and the breakneck speed at which he attacked the basket where crazy to watch.
Every time I saw MANU play, it made me smile, a play, crazy, or just luck, I went to sleep happy, that was MANU, it made you happy!!!
I was at the game with the bat. It was flying around for at least 5 minutes. I told my friend that if anybody hits it, it will be Manu😉
Manu is certainly underrated. USA is almost certain for gold or maybe Spain during the Olympics. But Manu really helped Argentina capture that Gold.
My basketball hero! Viva Manuu! ❤️🏀
Houston fan here and I can say when Manu blocked Harden I cursed him. Then just as fast I marveled at his recovery and block from behind. There was no quit in that guy. One of my favorite players to this day.
His last second shots! Even the Olympic one!
SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINALS MVP IN 2005 \\
All of Manu's Assists!
the 1 handed laser pass to Matt Bonner is my favorite Manu play
Such a great player and overal gentleman. You just need to hear what the greatest players say about him to understand that he was really special.
He is morethan kobe and lebron ,if he didnt accept the sixthman role, he is one of the greatest and most talented NBA player, and in 2017 west final if kawhi is not injured by zaza Im sure there will be a 6 championship
The best Manu's moment is... cuando dejo al Dream Team mirando la final en las tribunas!!!.-
I love Manu. So many great memories and experiences.
He’s just a rad dude.
Manu is the fkng best
Never forget: The media portrayed the Spurs as "boring" because the media studios were mostly in CA.
So tons of real basketball fans slept through one of the greatest NBA runs of all time because they let the media distort their reality.
It's great to see all the fans making videos and learning the legendary stories. The Big Three is really a two part series because there's before Kawhi and then with Kawhi. Two completely different teams, same record breaking win percentage.
LeBron was amazing to play against when he first arrived (swept by the Spurs in the finals) and watching his legend grow has been fun.
Kobe left us too early, I thought we would be hearing from that legend for years to come. He was amazing and it was because of Kobe and that incredible Lakers team that the Spurs built the team the built. 1999 proved that the Spurs had it in them, but it wasn't until 2003 that they actually built the team designed to counter each piece of the Lakers team. Manu was the key ingredient, because he was truly a worthy guard to counter Kobe. Kobe's legendary status puts him miles above Manu of course, but it's true that Manu provided a legitimate counter and helped the Spurs to keep up and take over. (Manu's rookie year, Stephen Jackson was able to keep up with Kobe at guard and the Spurs went on to win the year, 2003.)
Raja Bell has said that he only tells people Kobe was the hardest player to guard because that's what they wanted to hear. But his real answer was Manu, because for his entire career, he could never figure out what he would do.
Kobe said the same thing. When Manu entered the league, they had to adjust to his playstyle and pace because it was something they've never seen before.
He is the most underrated player by far in the NBA history. He is one of the top 10 of all time. At his prime, he was the best basketball player in the world.
I remember watching that 48 point performance against the Suns live on TV. It was insane. Him and Amare Stoudemire going back and forth through OT
One of my favorite games ever. He was so fire. No wonder Phoenix hates him so much!
If he decided to move out from the Spurs in his peak, it could had been a franchise player. He's criminally underated.
KING OF THE EUROSTEP
Manuuuuu! Great video!
Manu is better than any SG in the league today. Paul George has been the best SG of the last decade as well but for some reason people think Harden or Klay have been better.
3:58 It’s impressive Manu averaged “18 points, 7 points, and 4 assists”.
18.7 points
“18point7 Points”
Great video! very professional youtuber
The ultimate wild colt
forget that he one was of the best in the nba...he was a true beast in Europe. watch clips from there and u will see. Manu in Kinder Bologna
Top 5 SG all time
In 2009 season Manu carried the Spurs by scoring 24ppg while only avg 32mins per game when TP was injured for 21 games. Manu only lost 5 games without TP in that short period.
We can all agree that he can be the main guy in different NBA team
Came here to look for Ginobili flops, then saw this. He was one of my favorite Spurs players, with Duncan.
Manu Ginobili my favorite SG of All Time
Goated.
The block on kevin garnet or the dunk in the face of hao ming
Basketball genius.
The Michael Jordan of Argentina 20💍💍💍💍🇨🇱☝️🤠20 🐐
Grande atleta, eccezionale giocatore
Those saying hes not top 30 or 50 players of all time is basing off from stats.. they never watched him play..
Obi-wan Ginobili :)
he was also a flopper genius
Right before the incredible shot versus the GSW in 2013, Ginobli took an equally incredible bad shot. Put the bad and the good together, that's the most iconic Manu.
GREG IS THE BEST HOW HE MANAGE THIS THOSE GUY'S LIKE MANU PARKER DUNKUN
Favorite Manu moment... Eurostep over Shaq and Kobe... That's when he became my favorite Spur of all time... Sorry Admiral...
I love Timmy and Parker....but Gino is my favorite.
Dude has Ozzie Status at in Alamo city lol
Highest WIN RATE in the history of the NBA. #1.
Yeah, over freaking MJ, over Shaq, over Kobe, over Lebron, and over every single player with 1000 games in the HISTORY of the NBA.
That's Manu.
killed my suns
why is a robot voicing this?
manu shouldve been awarded finals mvp not kahwi
its not that hard to win titles when u get to play with Rasho Nesterovic
So many inacuracies in this video. 😂😂😂😂😂 C'mon man! Do the man justice. Manu deserves better.
The 2017-2019 warriors were so wack. Seriously ruined the league those years
No Detroit take over in game 7 ?
There are too many moments!
2nd
1st
Nope
Why do you say his name so weird?
Manu Ginobili was by far my favorite basketball player of all time absolutely one of the most clutch to ever play the game by far one of the most deadly snipers very good defense mentally tough physically tough, a winner at every level four NBA titles two Euro titles and one gold medal and like I said was one of the most clutch he no team had an answer for him no team in the NBA ever had an answer for Manu Ginobili
Always and forever making Harden looking foolish. Its a 10 top NBA all time easy.
SO UNDERRATED PLAYER.... FOR ME IS TOP 7 SG OF ALL TIMES... MANU WAS MAGIC, DRIVE, STEEL, BLOCK, DUNK, PASS... HE DID EVERYTHING
hello I am an Argentine person who is in love with the game of manu ginobili you have to remember the game we managed to beat the United States in the Olympics! this type is incredible!
The eurostep is a great move!
