A little while ago (in a previous life) I was a soap maker for 10 years, I started my CZcams journey not long before I lost my passion for soap making and decided to close that chapter of my life.
Needing a creative outlet I returned to sewing but wanted a challenge, one night while scrolling through videos on CZcams I stumbled across a video of Lauren Moreno sewing a bag, and the rest they say is history. A new bag maker was born!
Making bags gives me creative control over the whole design, from the picking of a pattern, and designing custom panels and fabrics/vinyls, down to the choice of zipper tape, lining fabrics, and hardware.
So follow me along on this journey of bag making where sometimes it may not turn out exactly according to plan but I will work through fixing mishaps and all of the in-between.

I have made a couple of these. It’s such a great pattern. Btw did you use the quilting size pattern for the body? I loved the way you did it. There is a Tik Tok where she shows you how to put in a incapsulated mirror. It is very cool. If you like it’s Butter Bags. Thank you for a great tutorial

Great tutorial, thank you! Do I need an industrial machine to sew through the vinyl, especially the handle which looks like four layers?

No, you don’t need an industrial. I sewed for many years using my domestic machine. However, be mindful of the thickness of the vinyl, keep any interfacing out of the seams and maybe try doing a double fold instead of triple fold for handles etc 💕
