Transformers Cybertron HD Collection Could Happen. So Transformers games have always been my faves but the biggest amongst the library is the Cybertron games! What's up guys? RBG here bringing you another review. And it's on the recently released Netflix series Transformers War for Cybertron Siege. This show is the first of three chapters that make up the War for Cybertron trilogy and coincides with the Siege toyline. And if you guys have been following my channel you know that I've been waiting to watch this show. As soon as I heard that talented animation team Polygon Pictures would be involved I knew that this would at least be a visual treat. I mean this is the same team behind the popular Transformers Prime series and Star Wars The Clone Wars. So they're well within their element when it comes to bringing these metalic beings and world to life. The characters are covered in scratches and weathered rust. And although the animators are working with CAD toy model assets they're still able to make them look natural.
If you guys have been following some of the more recent titles you may have noticed that the designs have been going more towards the Evergreen aesthetic. Which Hasbro seems to be enforcing on any team who wants to make a Transformers game. I know their aim is to make the characters as recognizable as possible somewhat unify the lore. But I think they forget that Transformers Cyberverse is their main flagship show. And when people see those evergreen designs they automatically assume that the game they're playing is based off of TF Cyberverse. And while there are some games that tie into the show like Transformers Battleground. Not all of the games are associated with that particular series.

Hasbro already gave the go. Activision "lost" the hard drives with the games on them. They have to find them first

I hear ya, but I gotta say that as an eight-year-old in 1984, turning the corner in Wal-Mart or K-Mart and seeing a fully stocked shelf of Transformers toy packaging was about as good as anything ever got for me. I'm still chasing that high.
@@TJMean Unfortunately I grew up in the era when Transformers was unpopular and was actively made fun of for liking them 💀. I'm glad they've finally gotten around to at least two Cybertron figures so far though with more planned. I love the aesthetic of Cybertron and it's super powered fights
I'd say, "Transformers. Beast wars" and "Prime" animated shows are competing with them for this title, but, if anything, it's a compliment for these games.
We really need a movie and a good show that takes place during the Cybertron war

I’d love to see a Cybertron HD collection but only if they include multiplayer and escalation, I had a blast playing those game modes.

FOC multiplayer was SOOOO FUCKING NICE, i loved customising myself as a dinobot and wrecking everyone else in the game. so glad i got to play the game in the first month of it being out

These games were, by far, the best Transformers games I've ever played, and certainly two of the better entries of the PS3. I'll be glad to see them come back 😊

Could you imagine if these games were brought back in a Cybertron bundle? War and Fall in one bundle, and they made DLC for them? So long as the DLC packs were the same as what Fall did, I'd kill for that. They gave us G1 Optimus parts, imagine other G1 looks for multiplayer, Armada characters, Prime characters. I was hoping for shit like that for years during Fall of Cybertrons time. They could add them to both WFC nad FOC multiplayer (and hopefully escalation) too.
I can't believe the cybertron games were actually re-released for 8th gen hardware. Like if knew that before hand, I would copped me a copy before they were delisted again. And I really do hope that Hasbro actually decides to bless us with a remastered collection of the cybertron games. And perhaps maybe even a sequel to Fall of Cybertron.

War of Cybertron was not unfortunately. Still have FOC and Darkspark on my Ps4.
Revenge of the Fallen Multiplayer was fun too. Played that War and Fall for years. If we could get those back, I'll be happy
No disrespect to anyone who likes the Rise of the Dark Spark, but we NEED a 3rd Transformers game with High Moon Studios developing it because I am interested in seeing how THEY will continue the story after Fall of Cybertron.
That's the only one I can still play. But man I loved Fall of Cybertron. So now I have to use dark spark as copium until they commit to it. Even though it sucks.
I have to give Edge of Reality some slack as they had 6 months and had to reuse the assets from Fall of Cybertron.
Escalation in Dark Spark was the best iteration of the mode. It had an impressive roster of selectable bots + cons 🤖👍
They won’t/cant continue the story unless they adapt the Exodus book. Unfortunately hasbro plonked the games into the aligned continuity which is broken.
U shouldn't offend anyone with this cuz I mean its the worst game ever released but its a weird ok game reminiscing of FoC. I have started playing it little by little last month actually cuz I was craving more of the Cybertron feeling or at least something TF related until we finally get Reactivate

God I miss these games so much. I always go on YT to watch the story and gameplay from time to time. Back when they came out on the 7th generation consoles I was still buying everything on disc. Me being a broke ass kid at the time, I was really into trading in games at GameStop and most of my library from that generation is gone. When the 8th Gen came out I started downloading all my games on my ps4 (My library of games is huge now). But by the time I just randomly remembered the Cybertron games, it was too late. They were wiped from ps store. So I hope this happens.
Moral: If there’s any kids on here reading this… don’t trade your games in, wait for the right opportunity to get the new one you want. At best you’ll miss the game and just spend money again to buy it. At worst you end up in the situation I’m in with the Cybertron games.
I remember playing war for Cybertron and fall of Cybertron both campaign and multiplayer and it was a blast
I'm so glad they are bringing back the great transformer games I just really hope they release them back on console for the people like me who can't afford a decent PC or Internet.
As a person who owns physical copies of these games on the ps3, these games NEED to come back again. These games were fun on online, no words can describe how much of a gem these two games were.

I would love to get a huge Transformers bundle. Like Transformers: The Game, Transformers: ROTF, DOTM and WFC, FOC all in one or re released at the same time! That would be an absolute dream come true
Yessir, especially if they include the multiplayer for the titles that had it. So I think that's all of them except Transformers: The Game
Man the multiplayer & story was so much fun. I currently am exclusively on Switch & PS5 but this might make me get a Series X
I've got all three consoles. Ps5 is mostly my go-to. My Switch is for games like splatoon. And my series s is for backwards compatibility games like Metal Gear Rising. I hope they release them on ps5 as thats the easiest way for me to record footage.

I remember being so young and always loving the Autobots that I deteste and never enjoyed watching Autobots dying and when I watched Transformers Fall of Cybertron and I immediately stopped because I saw so many Autobots dying but now that I'm older, I still don't like it but I am stronger in witnessing these deaths.
We absolutely need a remastered of the high moon studios transformers games, i loved everything about them. And there is basically no way to get them on next gen 😢
I would _love_ if we got a remaster collection on PS5 that had Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I guess also Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark since it's technically somewhat part of the series.
Rise of the dark spark is on ps4 so you can still buy if you have the disc version

Sadly, I don’t think we’re ever going to get an HD port of the war and fall for Cybertron not for a while. It looks like Activision has lost the game files.

@@LastRedStar yes I did but I am very skeptical. It will turn into a credible threat. I know Hasbro wants to re-release the war for Cybertron games but because Activision/blizzard is now owned by Microsoft. And from what I’ve heard is that Activision blizzard has lost the original files that’s why why I feel it’s doubtful that the war for Cybertron games will get remastered. I would love for the games to get re-released released and put on the PlayStation five and Xbox one. And if that happened, I will buy them again and play them on my PlayStation five.
There's just no way they could turn down an opportunity like this with all the demand for it and I pray that they follow through and do something with these games because I'd pay anything just to have an updated version of them at the very least. I played these games years ago as a young kid and they're still in my top five favorite games, I only had them on the 360, but I'd love to play them on PC. Hear us out, Hasbro, Activision/Microsoft! We want these games again!

FOC is already ported to ps4 and X box one it was not remastered. I dont think they are going to do any upgrading unless necessary. DOTM TF2 TF1 and WFC may get some nice changes but that is only because they dont have newer versions

If we got a triple-A 'Transformers' video game that's a sequel to 'Transformers: Fall of Cybertron' and is like 'Transformers: EarthSpark: Expedition', 'Transformers: Devastation', 'Transformers: War For Cybertron'[2010] & 'Transformers: Fall of Cybertron', and 'Transformers: Forged To Fight' have been put together in a blender, us 'Transformers' fanatics would collectively have a fangasm!

I can't wait for the Transformers Studio Series War for Cybertron Gamer Edition deluxe class Sideswipe and voyager class Star Scream to come out next year.
Man if this happens it'll be great, We all would enjoy to get our hands on these games again, haven't played these games since my copy of the games are scratched, the multiplayer was so much fun back in the day, I just hope that it's not just for xbox game pass since it would split the fanbase up but ultimately it is up to Xbox to decide since I'm sure Hasbro would release them for all consoles to make as much money as they can.
To be completely honest dark spark needs a complete rework.

I would love a version of these games with less glitches and crashes, War especially crashes like fucking crazy, I get on the energon beasts levels and on two seperate discs on both occasions when it happened, my game crashed. A more stable version of these games would be awesome as all hell considering both games are some of the best TPS games of the 7th gen by far.
I'll be happy even if we just get a re-release of Cybertron games. I just want to play WFC and FOC so badly. ❤

MS has not bought Activision Blizzard yet. Also it was AB that prioritized newer games. AB was also the one who took many of their studios and made them support studios for CoD. With MS looking to finish the deal and purchase them this year, we have the best chance of them coming back on gamepass. I think theres a high chance they bring them back on other platforms as well.

I think DotM being a prequel also helped it's quality as it allowed High Moon some degree of freedom
Ive always been sad that i was not able to afford the cyberton games as a kid, and now that i am more grown and have the funds i still have yet to experience this titles and i really hope that they do remaster and rerelease them as it would be awesome to play once again\
i grew up playing WFC and FOC before the online services were shut down, i hope i can experience those games again alongside being able to play transformers DOTM, ROTF, ROTDS, and TFP.
It's funny to think Barbie might have a hand in getting a War for Cybertron bundle. Here how? The Barbie movie is doing well at the box office. And it stands out in a summer and movie year dominated by flops and busts. In that landscape, they will view Rise of the Beast and the Transformer franchise favorably. Hasbro will green light another TF movie, but that's still two years out. They'll look to other media to help feed that appetite. Now that they've found masters, Microsoft will definitely put it on their Gamepass, but Hasbro will ask it be put on the other consoles to. Microsoft might be reluctant, but its not a hill they'll want to die on. They'll probably arrange for a Microsoft first for alike a month or two before the other consoles start selling.
For Hasbro, TF is still laying golden eggs for fans and collectors. I don't have proof, but it seems like Hasbro checks eBay, sees what still trading at like $100 more than its MSRP and brings that back in Legacy or the Generations Line. Like how we got TM2 Megatron, way ahead of any other transmetals. As long as WFC Optimus and Nova Prime are still trading in the 200s. I have hope.
That sounds like a genius move if they're looking at the high demand for old products.
I really miss playing Crybertron online. I was better in this universe than Halo and COD. I hope the War for Cybertron series gets a remaster, and release a third game to the story!

I missed out on War for Cybertron but owned and played Fall, I only saw the game cover once in an Old Navy store up near checkout and when I gazed upon its magnificent existence my inner self knew i couldn't be more ecstatic but........

the ABK Acquisition is quite done yet. every Gov't body so far, except for the FTC (who got bodied in court by MS Lawyers) and CMA (who backtracked after the FTC got bodied in court), has approved of the deal. the deal was supposed to close by July 18th but that date got pushed back to October to allow the CMA time to figure shit out. but once that happens, there will be another round of BC titles released and it will be MASSIVE in the number of titles. considering Hasbro themselves are better than they were a decade ago, and ABK still has the code, I think they will go ahead and do a remaster of it along with the MP component of it
I think hd rereleases have a good chance to happen, it's a safe investment for hasbro that would require few tweaks and would help boost gamer edition sales.
The dream would be for remasters like crash, spyro, and spongebob with a revitalized high moon studios now that Microsoft is reworking their approach to cod development But that's mostly up go hasbro and whether they want a long term deal with Activision
Hopefully they bring it to pc also.
I would be extremely excited but also disappointed if the games did get a remaster mainly because I switched to playstation about 3 years ago I did get the Xbox s but I'd just be more hoping that they would still go with the remaster for all consoles but cause there owned by Microsoft now that's a slim chance, I'd love to get them if they did remaster but with how little I use the Xbox just to buy them and then buy the memberships back along with my playstation membership I dunno if I'd be up for that

If Microsoft is honest about not taking games away from anyone then these games would release on PS as well at the least. Switch, idk.
They would be stupid not to re-release these on PlayStation as well since the PS4 and PS5 have a massive hold on the gaming market. If these are released on PC and X-Box only i'll rip out someone's optics. I reckon they'll get released as a collection when the new Transformers Reactivate gets released.

I think Microsoft will have it ported to PS4/PS5 and Switch at a later date as they can make it timed exclusive for the Xbox kinda like how Stray was timed exclusive to the PlayStation which is now coming to Xbox August 10th as well as how Final Fantasy XVI is timed exclusive to PlayStation and won't arrive on Xbox until December 31st 2023.
I never got to play Devastation or the Cybertron games, closest to the Cybertron games I got to play was Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, I remember playing a bit of Transformers: PS2 or Transformers: Armada as a kid even played Transformers: The game a few times growing up, those being the PS2 version, Xbox 360 version and the two DS versions of the movie
If these games come out and PC has controller Support, I be willing to play with any of you who want to play

something i think people should consider is even if they lost the data it dosent mean they cant be remastered
they didnt have the data for spyro so they replayed the original games from beginning to end and extracted the data using a spyroscope and transfered it for the remaster i see no reason why they cant do something similair for wfc
Honestly I would be fine with a remastered collection being Xbox only as I have an Xbox Series X, but I would feel for those hoping to see it come to the PS5, or maybe even the Switch (being upscaled remasters of 360/PS3 games no reason it couldn’t be made to run on Switch). Honestly as somebody with the disk copies of both Cybertron games I’d even settle for them to finally be made backwards compatible on Xbox. Just let me play them again without having to hook my 360 up to do so
