In the past USA olympic team, you won't see a 39 or 40 year-old playing with that intensity and leading the team with so much passion. This team can really blast all opponents once they really move the ball and find free teammates as all these players can score massively any given day. Also the only bad thing for this team is Kerr. You can throw in other coaches there and this team will be on another level😊

nah kerr the right one for sure. kerrs motion offense make sure everyone gets touches hence everyone will get to be in rythm. other coaches might have better defense scheme or wtv but they will usually resort to iso/one man show. imagine everyone gets hot instead of one. thats the prime warriors we knew, where everyone includes the bench can catch fire.

Okay, I think commenters lack perspective. The 92 dream team didn't have any competition to play against, in reality, the teams they were playing against they were fans(I mean its the first time the nba superstars actually were able to compete in the Olympics, before it was just college players). You had forieng teams on the bench taking pictures😂 (you aint seein that these days hahah that fan stuff out the window because now they actually over here!). Get this, the team that was runner up to the 92 usa was Croatia becuse they had the most nba active players WHICH WAS 3! These days that's the least. There are now 4-5 nba players on every team and they aren't scrub players either. The reason why the dream team was formed was because the foreign teams were starting to stomp us, and that's with less nba talent on those teams. Teams around the world now have played in the nba and have nba training and conditioning. Of course, we won't be blowing them out like back then when they didn't have nba training and experience. 92 team was phenomenal and i am not taking nothing from them but let's be honest, their competition WAS TRASH COMPARED TO THESE DAYS! Stop comparing because it's a total noncomparison in view of talent. The debate is stupid comparing the two teams. It's just media crack to compare the two. It's time to sober up.

The dream team played against teams who had never seen any of the dream team players play an actual game. Back in the 1990s, NBA games were not widely broadcast all over the world. Due yo NBA league pass, anybody can watch every game. That was not the case back then.

He's too ball dominant, individualistic, and his playstyle would be a negative for Bron and KD. Curry spaces the floor for Bron to work, KD is lethal from anywhere, and the ball will move in this trio. Kobe couldn't shoot a lick from 3 (please research before you argue no he's a career 32% that's deadass worse than Patrick Beverley LMFAO), and he'd be too busy posting up and trying to do his thing, the other 2 wouldn't get involved. he wouldn't help Bron and KD the way Curry can, he'd have to do his thing in order to be great. That's okay no shame in that, but remember cohesion is the most important variable in basketball that casuals don't understand.

By the way ALL and I do mean ALL you so-called NBA experts and Micheal Jordan lovers. Lebron James got drafted number one out of high school. Michael Jordan spent two years under one of the greatest college coaches in the history of college basketball Dean Smith. But teenager Lebron James came straight out of high school to the NBA and has live up and surpassed all expectations. Please don't compare the two because Jordan didn't come into the NBA winning nothing. Until years later when Bird and Magic got old and retired. The Bulls hired Phil Jackson along with the Triangle Offense guru Tex Winters and players that scored and rebounders and pick setters for Michael Jeffrey Jordan to win and be successful in the NBA. All these people saying that the 1992 Dream Team isn't as good as we think - ya'll sleeping on MICHAEL JORDAN?! There is a reason there is a lot of 90's Basketball Stars, some of whom are prototypes for today's Stars like Reggie Miller was to Steph Curry, have never won titles and it can be attributed to Michael Jordan. As long as Michael Jordan is on the court - there is no way that 1992 Dream Team is losing to anyone, not even to the Best Shooter of All Time & the 2nd Greatest Player of All Time on the same team.
Here's something - there were only 2 snubs on the 1992 Dream Team. Shaq was one, as he was passed over in favor of Christian Laettner as the lone College representative. Shaq got passed over because Laettner won 2 NCAA Championships at Duke in the leadup to 1992 and stayed 4 years (Shaq left LSU early). The other snub is Isiah Thomas, who famously was left out in favor of Clyde Drexler (supposedly as a favor to Jordan). If you look at the 1992 Dream Team roster - who would you drop in favor of Isiah Thomas? Literally no one - and he was considered the best Point Guard in the NBA at the time. The entire roster is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. Twice.
I see it as - yes the International teams in this year's field is far superior to their 1992 Counterparts (except for maybe Croatia, whose 1992 team had 5 eventual NBA players vs 2024's 2 current NBA players) but that would only make the blowouts not be 40+ points. It'd be closer to around 15+ points or so - that's just how good that 1992 Dream Team is, and it would beat every other US Olympic Team in history to boot including the 1984 team that had a freshly drafted Chris Mullen & Michael Jordan.
So everyone needs to stop discounting just how good the 1992 Dream Team is. And also, stop ragging on this year's team - they're gonna be fine. The team has flaws, but that's because there is a slightly smaller pool of players (particularly at the backcourt) to have great quality from compared to the past. Also, for some unexplainable reason, there are times Steve Kerr calls a bad game as Coach and gets the team cooked.

other countries finally caught up to our COLLEGE players. the dream team played against those teams, who had just caught up to our college athletes.

You're allowed to have your opinion but this team runs that team off the court. The greatest scorer, the greatest shooter, and the greatest all around player in history are in the floor. You only got 5 people at a time. Shaq and David Robinson are completely moot. They can't play on the arc. Ad by himself would torch those guys out of existence. Larry Bird is nowhere near fast or athletic enough to keep up with kd. LeBron muscles Jordan out every day of the week. And finally no matter what situation they are in they have the ultimate bail out in curry knocking down 40 footers all day long. That's not taking the two out of three beat players in the current league on the bench in ant and Tatum. There is no way that team playing the way they played in 92 can compete with this team. The game barely resembles basketball as it was.

These three are great players but this team is not the dream team from 1992 Barcelona. Their work ethic, teamwork and intelligence seemed higher. They weren't political and were less decisive then. Their margin of victories were gigantic too. No comparison regarding all around respect and star power compared to 1992. The game is different now, less mid range and more long range shooting. The game is more international now but many of the players are less likeable today. All are amazingly great athletes.
be real those overseas teams the dream team played was just happy to be on the same court and take pics and get autographs the world has evolved and players can handle shoot the rock, remeber when nthe dream team got there ass kicked by the college team Chuck Daley brung into practice gave there ass a reality check,62-54 so lets stop acting like the dream team would dominate these present overseas players, half the nba draft were players from other countries.

I agree that the international teams are with more depth and more NBA players but the original dream team had more star power and in my opinion a better attitude. Both teams have amazing players but I prefer the 92 team.
