Joining Ryan is Neil Byrne on guitar, Nicole Hudson on violin and Conal Early on keyboard. The song is an original taken from Ryan's first solo album, "In Time" and the performance here was a tribute to Ryan's Dad who passed in June, 2016.

I play this song every year since I first heard it and I post a tribute to my Mum at Christmas. I know these are the words that she would be saying to me. This year I lost the lady that was like a Mum to me, a lady that came into my life after my Mum passed away so now I have lost both beautiful ladies. I played it tonight for both of them. Thank you for letting me find this song. 2018 20 November just before Thanks giving and Christmas my husband passed away. My brother in 2019. My mother's baby sister , she is the last of my mom's family (96 yrs.) a school friend passed away also this year; a tie to my past that is gone. Thank you for the comfort of this song. Bless you.

my father's birthday was 12/24. He died many years ago. On Christmas Eve I always add Happy Birthday as I know he celebrates with Jesus. He started a new tradition. I am sure your father would be & is so proud of you.

Lost my Great Grandmom on 13 December of 2013. Hardest Christmas ever and this song helped. I still think of it as "the year Christmas missed" but this song made it just a little better.

Appreciate this, lost Daddy 12/10/01, Keith my husband 1/5/13, and Mom 1/1/15. The firsts are the hardest but eventually it does hurt a little less and the good memories stay in front and the bad move further back.

This is so special, my dad was born on Christmas Day 1912. He died on Mother’s Day May 14, 1979 & my mom died May 14, 1989. I have saved this so I can play it on Christmas. Thanks for the comfort it brings.
