Iâm from OC and I used to work for an attorney that basically had me do everything. Im in workers comp. I lasted about a year and half until I decided to apply for an insurance company instead. Iâm still in workers comp and assist several attorneys but there is more structure and work life balance. I couldnât be any happier. Congrats on your successes!!! :)
The first few seconds really resonated with me! I started as a legal assistant 8 months ago, having NO experience/background in litigationâŠIâd like to think Iâm an averagely intelligent person but it was SO much harder to catch on to than I expected. đ Iâve already learned so much & need to remind myself Iâll continue to learn as long as Iâm putting in the effort to!
Thank you for sharing đ Being a legal assistant has definitely taught me so much, including being kinder to myself. You are exactly right and good luck with your journey :) Iâm rooting for you!
Congratulations!!! You're developing a strong foundation for your career, and you will be GREAT!
I really appreciate your videos. When I started as a Legal Assistant I was working with the government and I really didnât get a lot out of my job. But I learn so much from you. I am looking for a job now and I will definitely take your advice. I will stay to myself and just work.
this is a new idea I've had recently was to integrate myself into the law in some way and watching your vlogs is definitely keeping me on that path

Stress always happens in this legal field. And it all depends who's your boss and the work environment. The legal field, especially with attorneys/ law clerks you have to be on your shit & complete tasks on time. And please keep discretion of client cases. There is something called attorney client privilege that legal assistance/ paralegals must abide to as well bc if you don't the attorney could get sanctions or disciplined by the CA Bar.
Hey Gema! Thanks for your input. I agree, everyoneâs experience is different and no two experiences will be the same depending on a lot of facts like you mentioned. Fortunately, Iâve had an overall positive experience but of course there is stress like in any job or industry. When I post content about my role as a legal assistant, I only talk it from my perspective and what Iâve learned. I would never go into detail about a specific case or disclose any of that information in a public format. I take my job very seriously and would be ignorant to post any case sensitive information so I only discuss my personal experience as a legal assistant and general information that could be helpful to some people who are interested in starting out :)
