Canada has just announced new capital gains taxes. The old rule was 50% tax free and 50% taxed like regular income. Now the tax free portion is being reduced to 1/3 for all corporations and for individual capital gains over C$250,000, US$182,500).
Keep you poor and it's easier for government to control people.
But you get SO MUCH for your money in Canada!(LOL)

I have lived in many cities and I think Cleveland is a very nice. The midwest ethnics are wonderful and found the people to be very friendly and helpful. Cleveland problems were cause by the democrat politician, and if the population would start voting differently the city could make a great come back. There is so much potential there. I have lived in few cities in Maryland, San Diego, a few cites in Queens, NY, San Francisco, Phoenix, Spokane, and various suburbs of Cleveland and Akron. I love midwest values.

Currently in Malaysia visiting after watching your videos for a year. It's incredible!
Do one up on the youtubers .. try Chinese ala-cart "kum heong" (choose your meat , chicken or fish.) .. if it's done right it's too dry and chokes you from too much spices , meant to go with rice. (The American Chinese take away sweet sour and orange beef is actually "kou lou yoke" pork and lemon chicken .. ala cart w/rice. And Malay and Indian "nasi" 's can be flooded for free .. the magic password is "banjir". I can't taste through the six , seven sauces .. try it once. If you can't take spice the madu chicken and the kicap chicken is not "hot".

I just applied Canadian citizenship because I need the passport but I don’t think will spend the rest of my life here. I am now 30 and I will be here in the next 10 years at most
Depending on where from that maybe a bad decision because eventually they tax their citizens worldwide. If ten years was your plan, work visa should suffice.

I’m Canadian and my country just increased capital gains tax I’m retiring over the next five years and I’m now trying to figure out how to avoid having my capital stolen from me. If you are able to reside in a country that has no capital gains does that mean if you sell stocks outside of a registered account you can avoid capital gains? This is my driving reason to move in my retirement. Of course I’m looking for a place English is spoken, good health care, low crime and good schools for my young children.
Andy and I don't agree on much, I don't agree in low taxes for the ultra wealthy, but with that said, I believe the biggest mistake the U.S. makes is pitting races and sexes against each other in the media, all to avoid the conversation around class. This doesn't happen in other eastern countries because eastern countries wealthy (government,or private) know better.....

Things are not always linear. The American system works on a system of checks and balances so things swing back to center. The problems the country is having is good opportunity for a reformer. After all there is the US Constitution that politicians increasingly ignore. On the other hand it’s smart to plan an exit strategy and go elsewhere, take the initiative if the opportunity presents itself.
The cuckstitution, you mean? To the Washingturds and the owners of the consolidated corporate media who run that godforsaken country, the Cuckstitution is just so much toilet paper. You have paper “freedoms”, that are just one policy change or selective enforcement away. Many other countries have it better.
It’s not a “pendulum swing”, it’s more like 3 steps toward the cliff, 1 step back.

Yep. I'm a servant and got my passport, opened a brokerage account. Jobs in the US pay $$$ even if you're at the bottom. But most of those people don't save or invest and complain too much about being a victim.
