@Blkgurlrocs no, it’s definitely the same color on both sides, it’s really just the way the light is reflecting off the velvet. They’re twisting it so it doesn’t look twisted and messy…kinda like how you twist shoelaces so they lie flat.
@Blkgurlrocs I understand why you think that, but if you read the comment above me from Shanna, it has to do with the nap of velvet fabric. I’m a seamstress so I know the strange magic of velvet! From one angle, you’re seeing the individual fibers laying flat and smooth, the light reflects off the fibers when they’re all aligned smoothly and in the right direction. From the opposing angle, you’re seeing the underside of the fibers which are in shadow, the fabric doesn’t reflect as much light. The easiest way to visualize this is to think of a short haired black cat - if you brush their hair it will look smooth and shiny, if you brush it in the wrong direction, it looks flat. Hope that makes some sense :).

I have bar stools just like this! Will need to get reupholstered some time soon though because of the cats… hopefully the person reupholstering knows how to do this weave again. Not too difficult.
Ooh, cats will mess up furniture with a quickness. But we love our fur babies, so it's worth it right?! It's an easy weave, they'll figure it out, just don't remove it so they see the pattern.
Ooooh nice job on this run! What a great deck, especially with the squirrels with magpie. Always fun to use smelly on the moon. Make sure to use your items in the next run, they really give you an eye for how to beat the game!
Great thing about this is that it's easy to remove and redo! If you get tired of the shade or just want to change things up, it's an easy fix. Or if you damage the material or it gets flat, just change it out or undo and fluff. I love the color personally and the design. Would love to have one of these super comfy chairs!!
