Why wasn't this posted when he was alive?
Vujnovic634 It was but on a different channel! I watched it so many times before and was able to laugh but after hearing he passed its very painful!
I did not even see the date this was posted, as a big time Bill Withers fan I had been searching videos of him on youtube for years but now when I saw these videos from him Hall of Fame ceremony I thought I had missed something. But you are right, they posted it when the legend has left us.
I always used to say to my girlfriend "Bill Withers is a musician people never think about, but when he is going to leave our world, people will be showing up and realize his greatness again".
So long to the legend Bill Withers, he made a lot of our lives easier with his amazing songs and I will for sure never forget his contributions to to the music scene.
@@homeboiUH I was born in 1966. Every single kid from that era could sing every word of 'Lean On Me'. Bill Withers isn't just a successful musician, he's a Great American Artist - all caps. Every single person from east coast to west knows his songs. His music will last as long as people do.
Stevie spoke for a lot of us!
Just one word ... DOPE!!🔥🔥🔥
i love this! love both of them! awesome xo
Awesome ☮ and❤
A genius!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
The day that *The FUNK BROS* received their Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame my Cousin invited me to a Restaurant where his Band, *The KNOW-IT-ALLS* were paying tribute to that House Band for MOTOWN. They played several songs flawlessly. Then they began the intro for a Stevie Wonder song, and there was a problem. Their Singer missed her cue _(I think because she was supposed to start singing on the entry of a trumpet, but the band didn't have a trumpet player that day -- oops) 'You Can Feel It All Over'_ was the song, I believe... Well, *Stevie Wonder* happened to be in the audience. He was, naturally, rather incensed to hear HIS SONG messed up during a tribute to HIS FRIENDS, and thus bade his handler to, _"Get ME up there!"_ He was led to the stage, where he took a seat at the piano. A microphone was swung before him, and he performed the whole song. He then took over the ENTIRE PERFORMANCE, turning the event into an _impromptu_ *Stevie Wonder Concert.* No one objected.
As he went along from song-to-song *The FUNK BROS* decided to join the fun too. Again, there was no objection, as the members of my Cousin's band all graciously surrendered their instruments to the Men of the Hour. Lastly, my Cousin gave up his 5-string Bass to a member of *The FUNK BROS* and stepped back out of the way.
That was a truly *FUNKY GOOD TIME!* No complaints, no objections, no feelings hurt. Just love of music, shared by all. Even the girl from my Cousin's band joined in to sing background after the first few songs.
That was fun.
Wow. That's one hell of a story. You're lucky to have witnessed such greatness.
