I hate how busy the world is too. It's quite a feeling out here. We stay warm, have good food, and enjoy the simple things. It's a peaceful feeling. I bet your family would love it. You all would have some good quality time together making memories. That's priceless.

Your dog is such a joy to watch when he is so clearly happy living the best life ever for a dog! I am so sorry so many people are critical out of complete ignorance. People do lock up their dogs today in crates, kennels, they get very little exercise, little time outside and when they are outside they are on a 3-foot leash and can not run when they must have exercise. Then they come out like amateur animal police because they think they are in a place to tell others how to raise their animals. You and Skeeter have a life right out of a dream

Word of caution in reference to the plastic water bottle, lost the plastic cap and the retainer ring. Water bottles make for fun toys for the pups, but you are pretty remote if Skeeter swallows the plastic cap and you have to get to the Vets office ! Love the videos..

I love Minnesota. We visited the Twin Cities a few years ago. We did not get to go up north or visit Rochester We did see the new stadium. The following January I went myself to see some Gopher's hockey and because of snow storm ended up staying an extra day and I got to see the Wild play. Check that off the old bucket list seeing an NHL game and college hockey. Great light rail made it easy to get around. Stayed in Bloomington. Oh yeah I forgot we also got to see the twins play at Target field. That is a beautiful ballpark. Love your cabin.

Keep up keeping good work really like the cabin plan on building sauna this summer out of tamarack logs.
Remember folks, when you make out your grocery list for your cabin or tent adventures to always add....a box of dry milk. You can use it for all sorts of stuff when you don't have fresh milk. I always make sure I have a few boxes of Minute Rice rebagged in plastic. I can make minute rice with a spoon of sugar for one tasty sweet meal. I have put Minute Rice in the blender until I make rice flour. Add that to some milk and cook it and you have a nice warm rice pudding. I've seen people break camp before because they ran out of groceries when the weather turned really bad and they literally had to get out because they were down to cooking oil, salt, pepper, ketchup, etc. It's a rare few that don't plan for emergencies when bringing in food.
Nice cabin I watched the build. Put a piece of sheet metal or something you can wipe clean around the cook stove. Food splattering on the logs builds up and is almost impossible to clean off.
I'd love to live this way with my boyfriend, he's such a city boy though. He'd be 100% game and I love the quiet and privacy of living out in the sticks
City boys turn out to be some of the best woodsman! I'm not even kidding. A lot of people that live in the Bush in alaska grew up in a city. Get him out camping and hiking and show him the freedom of the woods.

I am far from a professional, I am self taught. I lived in Alaska for over a year and saw a few different methods for log cabin insulating so i have some knowledge on what works good and what doesn't work so good. I am actually going to make a few modifications to the cabin this spring so I will go into detail on exactly how I built it and what has worked for me! Thank you for watching and commenting!

You guys should make soup! I can give some recipes if you'd like. A big pot of soup can last a few days and then I make bacon, eggs, potato for brunch and soup and toast for dinner. You just place the pot on the woodstove to cook and to heat up, so you save your propane! I rotate between potato soup and lentil soup, add bacon and sausage to both. We're living offgrid in Vermont and loving it! Loving your videos as well! 👍🤓💖

I have to rush a neighbor's dog to the animal hospital and he almost died from eating those caps. I thought the same thing.
