At first I loved their crazy house but then I fell for the humor and everything. I keep watching it again and again because there is a channel here re-running it every now and then. Yeah! :)

During late lockdown I got obsessed with my family then I bought the box set
It's so good right!
Same here it's my favourite sitcom, I've got all the DVDs of it - watched it numerous times on iPlayer and watch it every day on TV!
When nick left it was a big loss to the show which never really recovered

What a crap interview. Get 3 of the cast on webcam and give them 4 minutes shared between them to talk about the show for a freaking 20th anniversary event. Though it's nice to see Kris Marshall finally get involved with something My Family related since his departure, it's a shame he didn't make a one-off special guest appearance for the final episode to give a bit of closure to Nick. They could have at least got Gabriel Thomson for the interview as well. I'm aware Nick was by far the most popular character but Michael was the only one of the Harper children to appear in every series.

Series 11 was kinda boring and I admit that it was for the best to let it end. But BBC could’ve at least given them a proper finale after a whole decade tbh.. What I really liked about Series 11 was Kenzo vs Ben.. That had a lot of potential
Kind of a pity that one of the show's best episodes is rarely seen, Blind Justice. Nick (especially him wrapping everything up), Susan and Abi in that were hilarious.
MY FAMILY is the greatest comedy ever made........and I'll rebuy the entire collection.........fun for my soul
Zoe should be Dame Zoe Wanamaker, she is a national treasure like Helen Mirren or Judy Dench.
It's the second time I've heard Zoey mention that about british humour, that its tits and ass and not witty, makes no sense. British humour is witty its American humour that's stupid and slapstick. My family is an advanced version of what British humour has become. Apparently the writer is American but he tuned it for a British audience and essentially made it a masterpiece. I fail to see the non British side of the humour.
She sounds British but she's a New Yorker first, daughter of Sam Wanamaker. I have no idea what her exposure to British comedy was, or her father's biases were. My Family follows the 'Honey, I'm home!' American sitcom format far more, which is unusual for a British comedy, and that's not exactly the best thing about it. But it's not the wit that makes it less British, what on earth. If I think of the top 30 British comedies over the last 50 years and the top 30 American comedies of the last 50 years I know which ones will be wittier...

No, they're all too old! Robert and Zoe must be late 70s/80s now, children must be in their 40s- Chris, Michael would be about 33 and Janey 38, you need a new cast, all these actors are too old now, literally, to be making a family sitcom for dysfunctional teenagers.

@@pauljohnson6019 Robert Lindsay was born in december 1949, so he is 73. Zoe Wanamaker was born in may 1949 so she is also 73. I do not think a new cast could replicate the magic this cast had. It was one of those lucky moments in time, when a team of writers, producers, directors and actors, were put together to produce one of the funniest , seamless comedy programs ever created. I would say without doubt, a master class of comedy.

Nick, Ben, Roger, Susan, Abi were highlights. Michael and Janey were great too but the older they got, the more boring they became. Alfie was good depending on the episode but was usually fun.

I always got the impression that Mr. Lindsay disliked the job - which is a shame. For many of us (mid-late 20's), My Family was our bread and water.
I hope they can at least revisit one more time to close the show for good. It never did receive the finale it deserved.
Oh god no. The show overstayed its welcome. it became stale, unfunny, cringy, cast members quit, and they started bringing in gimmicks like just out of the blue making Michael gay in his mid 20's to try and appeal to the new woke crowd despite his character never showing the slightest interest in men throughout the entire series. Bringing the show back in 2020 just wouldn't work. You can't really do a sitcom about a family after all the kids have moved out and are in their 30's-40's.
