We tried the best HHN snack, we went through the haunted houses we missed on the first night of HHN and then we went through the scare zones and had a little spooky fun in there! Yes I spoke to him and he was amazing. He was very much in character.
Tim as someone who works at Universal, it never hurts to interact with the characters and ask them questions, especially if they relate to their characters. Now sometimes if they’re having an off night like all humans do, they might not want to spend too long in conversation but they should still engage with you. Of course that does depend on if they can stay in character while answering as well.
I think you should ask since they are playing a roll. Literally saw a video with some girl giving Megatron a mushroom hairband and the actor was so happy and into the bit, saying how they were besties and what not. Truly a moment to remember.
As a former scare actor at a haunted house. I always loved getting asked about my characters story. Really tests your improve skills!!
I'm pretty sure Dr Oddfellow got an honorary doctorate from clown college in sideshow ringleadership.
(I just made that up but who knows.)
I’m an improviser and have been for about 17 years. ABSOLUTELY ask the question. We love engaging with people. “Yes and” is our #1 rule. So we say yes and we build upon it.

I let him too at the parks but it was several years ago before he has kids and had that peculiar mustache. He was super nice to us and definitely made me even more of a fan of this content.

For ur dr oddfellow question,, I usually put myself into the actors shoes and think “what would I think of on the spot?” and I’m normally a socially awkward person and I’d definitely break character and be like “I’m not sure what to say!!” But that’s just me lol.

The Vampire scare zone is one of my favorite ones and yes the music is AMAZING! I saw Dr. Oddfellow in one of the scare zones and I told him that he was quite dapper and would love to remember the honor of meeting him with a picture. He said, "Okay, my child but make it quick...I don't have all day" 😂. I think he'd totally be into you asking him questions about his "education" haha. Also, going through the Zodiac scare zone one of the chainsaw guys snuck up on an unsuspecting person and when he reved up that chainsaw she fell on the ground dropped her phone and took off. The scare actor playing Cancer was pointing to her phone on the ground and then to her as she was taking off in fear lol. I would absolutely love to be a scare actor! Stranger Things and Classic Monsters were my favorite houses. I thought the set was so awesome in the Classic Monster house. When the Hunchback did that fall forward...oh man that was so cool. Such a good scare. I still have 4 houses left to do. Oh the stage show was fantastic as well!! So much fun. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo... Thank you for attending my Ted Talk😂
As someone who loves to act (and would absolutely love to be a face character like Doctor Oddfellow) getting a chance to act and improv with a guest would be so much fun. You absolutely should ask where he got is doctorate from!

I saw Tim and Jenn exiting from either Monsters Unmasked or Last Of Us this past Saturday so I'm expecting another HHN video soon. Also bummer that I couldn't say hi in time cause I was waiting in the stand by queue for Monsters and they were exiting along with several other people.

Asking the scare actor about their character is just the same as meeting any other character in the parks.. I'm sure they have some background information that they have to remember in case somebody does ask!

You should be able to ask any questions to the scare actor. They should know everything about who they are and be able to answer you. It's a character question and they should never break character.

The lil boos are hidden. We were there last week and found them all. They did a great job hiding them and blending them in to the stores.

Ad lib away. I always love to interact with the characters in any capacity. They ultimately get to decide if they respond.
I saw on twitter that a bunch of the casts have back stories for there characters. I really enjoyed reading what they were saying.

I think it depends on how you word it. Maybe if you ask “how did you become a doctor” instead of “where did you get your doctorate” the actor would have more fun answering

Talk to Dr. Oddfellow! He is great. I asked him about Jack and he was ready. He is very in character and had a mic drop moment with me. I think they're trying to make him the new Jack. Jack is always pit talking to people also and none of the other icons do.

I worked at Six Flags for 3 years and started working during Halloween!
We were there on Sunday night, and it was incredibly surprising CROWDED. Almost too crowded and heavy wait times for everything….even food.
I love HHN can't wait to take the kids next year.

I think it would be funny if they just gave Dr. Strange's backstory for Dr. Oddfellow.
Absolutely ask him. If he is a walk around character that talks to people then guaranteed he is prepared to banter and improv. I would equate him to the citizens in Hollywood studios or any face character. He will be ready to roll with whatever you ask him.

As a haunt actor of 6 years, ASK IT!! I would expect a production of that value especially to have lore for all of their characters, and if the actors are anything like myself, they will talk your ears off about their character! 2:18

Speaking as a former scareactor for a haunted attraction - YES. PLEASE ask. You could end up making their night! I remember being bummed that I wasn't a face-character, and I never got to experiment with the information I was given about my character, since I wasn't supposed to talk to guests. Anyone who's in that line of work is going to love interacting like that - unless they're having a bad night, which obviously they're entitled to.
I was there last week (got home Sunday) & found all the little boos on the map. Some are very well hidden!😊

I went to Universal studios 2 weeks ago with some family and friends and when we were in HHN Before we were about to leave the park to head back to the park my family saw Dr oddfellow and my mom asked for a picture with him and he shook his head and we got the picture i had a fun time at Universal Studios HHN

Lil boo hide and seek is different this year. He's not in every store and the stores he is in, he's hidden in different areas. To find him at toothsome, you have to look up near the ceiling and the very back corner. The little boo hunt on September 3rd, so it's been completed for quite a while. It's a little different this year, but it's still lots of fun

Do you pay less when you go later in the evening?
From working at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World, I would say if it sounds like a real interest to know more about a character or the story of an attraction, it is a cool interaction to have with a guest. Just always remember not everyone is comfortable with improv or creating more than what we are trained to do so if the answer is just a few words, don't be mad at the cast/team member.
But I think most face characters would enjoy this little game
