    I understand anybody who could say it looks like a cage, but in my opinion, it's just a giant crib! No matter what it looks like, the parents aren't trying to cage him up. They only want him to be safe. :))

    This is a really nice bed. My son sleeps in a keyserbetten hannah bed. I know how it is to not be able to sleep because you're constantly worrying about your child roaming or possibly getting hurt in the middle of the night. God bless you all❤❤❤

    This is a very nice bed! I have a special needs daughter and we did one last year and another this year. It’s amazing when us parents have some creativity!

      Just checked out your guys bed. Love what you did to that ikea bed. We had the same bed in Texas and used his old crib pieces to put it together. Similar to what we have here. The girls room looks great.

    What a wonderful and gorgeous dream of a bed and I find it absolutely great and fantastic to see! I wished I could have such a great and safe bed because I am a sleepwalker and such a good thing isn't available for adults and so I am forced to sleep tied to my bed in chains with a padlock, that's really terrible for me! My sleepwalking is the aftermath of two kidnappings in my life and I still suffering from this gruesome things what happened with me in my life, that's it! But your DIY safe bed is really amazing and I think I could do it for myself like you have done it! Thank you very much for your great video here and your trick of creating such a good thing for your kid! Lovely greetings from Sarah and have always a wonderful time and stay safe out there and take care of you all together and may God bless you all and hold his protecting hands above you EVERYDAYS, Amen 💖🇺🇸🙏👍💖🇺🇸🙏👍💖🇺🇸🙏👍💖🇺🇸🙏👍💖🇺🇸🙏👍

      There’s a lady named Julie Hassleberger here on CZcams that is selling a Sleep safe bed that would work for you

  • @bluetech7753
    @bluetech7753 Před 6 lety +2

    You all are the second family that I see on CZcams that has made this type of bed it was another family here on CZcams that built something similar to this but it looked way too much like a cage first of all they used cedar boards the kind you would use for a fence and they caged it all the way around the top was covered so essentially what they built in my opinion was a cage or a fancy dog kennel I feel that that did not look right or appropriate. Coming across your video I think this secure bed looks so much better and it doesn't look so much like a cage it looks a lot more like an oversized crib I like how you left the top open so that he doesn't have to feel so enclosed and if I'm not mistaken the other side has no railing it's just the bed up against the wall now this is a great job. There is one thing to consider when building this type of bed and that is fire safety and fast evacuation the way you designed this bed it doesn't look like that would be a problem.

      bluetech7753 thank you for your feedback. That is one think that I feel terrible about beds for kids with special needs. I feel like that’s how it makes them feel like a caged animal. We were trying to go for an oversized crib, so I am very glad that is how it came across.

      This Crasey Crew Davey has a “privacy pop”! I love it. I want a safe sleep bed, but I don’t have 13k and insurance is really bad at approving things. Being a special needs momma is beyond difficult!

    I liked that his bed was open from the top. The Killen Clan's bed is completely enclosed looking like a cage.

    • @jenniferberry120785
      @jenniferberry120785 Před 6 lety +1

      Oh Susie Q If you watched prior videos of Killen clan you would know that despite being artistic Aiden is blind and he walks he also knows how to climb. There are videos of the family visiting relatives and Kat goes into a room where Aiden and Keez are playing and Aiden had climbed the ladder onto the top bunk. When Kat asked how he got up there he said shut up lol.

    • @jenniferberry120785
      @jenniferberry120785 Před 6 lety +2

      The bed in the killen clan video is no more or less a fire hazard than this one. The only reason the bed in the killen clan situation has a top over it is to PREVENT Aiden from CLIMBING OUT OVER THE SIDES Aiden climbs by feeling his way along things. If Aiden were to be able to get out of his bed and a fire or other emergency happened being that he is autistic and has a tendency to run and hide he would end up DYING in a fire. He is safer in the bed with the top over it than he would be in one like this. Liam doesn’t walk. Kat and Asa know exactly where to go to grab Aiden to get him out of a fire just like they would do baby Jack and Narkeez is pretty. Self deficient with moving on his own.

      K Fallon that is certainly a concern of ours and we will be changing it once we need to. His room also has a gate but at the moment he’s like a 8 month old.

      Mita you sound ignorant, they’re her kids she knows aiden more than you would ever know him. If you’re really concerned about the topic go to their Facebook they explain everything. Stop bashing them and making her look like a bad mom.
