  • KESR (Kent and East Sussex Railway) from Bodiam to Tenterden photographed from driver's cab of DMU train. (Link to Tenterden-Bodiam: • KESR Cab Ride Tenterde... ) Slightly speeded up so as not to exceed the 30 minute time restrictions and also to make it more interesting. We arrive at Northiam station at 10m05s, Wittersham Rd at 18m15s, Rolvenden at 24m53s and Tenterden Town at 29m25s. Sequence captured on a Canon EOS760D DSLR

    What beautiful rural scenery probably would have been typical of much of England 100 yrs ago

    Nice video. Back in the day there used to be an engine stationed at Bodiam and it had the same name. It was renamed "Gladstone" for use in the Will Hay film "Oh Mr Porter." Um, having just seen another station the engine may have been called Northiam instead. That rings a bigger bell somehow.

    I did this railway some years ago. It absolutely pissed it down all day; and talk about a slow ride; it was a right crawl. This looks a bit better. Love to go again in better weather.
    Why no sound?

    Does this railway have an aversion to distant signals?

    • @fetchstixRHD
      @fetchstixRHD Před 3 lety

      Apparently preserved railways don’t need to have them, as the heritage 25mile/h limit means that you can stop in the distance it takes to sight stop signals.

    Who owns those poor sad coaches at 3.00? What a dismal sight, and so much history going to ruin.
