A lot of people ask me where they can get the best PBR textures to use in their projects. There’s a lot of sites where you can get these high-quality textures from, but sometimes it’s hard to find them! So in today’s video, I’ll give a list of 8 best sites to download PBR textures, for FREE.
PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering, these textures help create realistic materials in any lighting situation.
Before we start, I want to show you an example of what these textures do. So here I have an object with PBR materials (showing 3d with text on the side appearing saying Base Color, Normal Map, Gloss Map, and Displacement). Let’s start breaking down all the textures.
The first one is our Albedo / Base Color / Diffuse texture, as the name says, this is where you have your base color, or base texture of metal, or concrete, grass, etc.
Normal map, this is really important because it determines the illusion of depth and other small details in your texture. It basically shows which areas the light is bouncing on and off without having to use extra geometry. (Show the comparison between with and without).
So you can see that on the left side we have without any normals, the texture looks very flat, as for the right side with a normal map we can see all the extra details as if it has more polygons.
Gloss map. This determines the ability to reflect or to absorb light. So, the whiter the areas - the more light it will reflect, the darker - the less light is reflected.
The displacement map is used to displace areas on your map, the darker the area, the lower these areas will be, and the lighter areas on your texture map will be raised. I go a lot more in-depth in my Lumion Render Course into this subject, so if you want to learn more, I'll give you a link to it in the top right corner and in the description below this video.
This is done using Lumion rendering software for architectural visualization. It’s a great 3D render software that saves a ton of time for architects because it helps you achieve the level of detail and realism not available in any other similar software.
Lumion is fully compatible with most 3D modeling software, including Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, 3ds Max, Rhino, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, and many others.

bro please make 3ds max how to create terren or house interior or exterior please upload videos
Thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge and these websites! Searching for the right textures takes soo long but It helps to know where I could continue searching. : ) Also, I have a question. Is there a possibility to us a dark wood texture f.e. as a light wood texture without loosing it`s wood texture in Lumion? (If that makes sense.) I sometimes find the dark woods to have a fitting texture (without PBR layer) but I struggle to make it lighter.
Happy to help! And no, I don't think that's possible. The opposite it would be easier.
Oh I see, thanks a lot for the quick reply ^^
All of my computers got the softwares here. I first install them on virtual environnt to make sure they're not malware. So I can assure
thank you
You're welcome!
Thank you for sharing this bruh, it helps me a lot. I've just come across a question that I could barely find a glass kind of PBR textures such as clear glass, tint glass and frosted glass stuffs like that which I would need for my interior project. Do you know why and if you know something, would you be able to share some?
Glass texture is easy to create but u can get some imperfections on quxiel like water stains and fingerprints
Thanx
You welcome!
Best video...
Thank you! :)
hello nuno. I majorly use sketchup and lumion or vray. how can I get textures and model with high resolutions for my renders?
For GTA 5 clothes, we use gims evo in 3ds max. But this program does not enable us to add e.g. metalic map. Could you explain how could we benefit from these maps for GTA V? Also, i wonder how can we import the new textures and materials in substance painter. Could you give an information?
hi i'm creating a model with magicavoxel do you have a toturial which shows how to add this kind of textures to vox mood?
👌👍
Hi Nuno, thank you for your videos, I bought your class Lumion, great so much to learn. I have a questions I used sketchup for modeling and Lumion for Rendering, but I having a hard time with materials specially fabrics that my clients want to see on sofas chairs (specific patterns ) I try but not to suscessful🙏
Hi Stella! Sure, what is the issue you are having? Maybe it's best to post on the fb group for support? Or you can contact me directly :)
Thanks
Can we use these in all tendering engines
Sir plz tell me from where i can download HPL laminate textures

Do i wanna learn to use soft soft? Yes.
mantap banget nih mimin nya, tadinya ga bs install, stelah add ig nya dan minta arahan, kemudian diajarin dan dikasih link supaya bisa terdownload.makasih banyak ya....
What do I do when the channel rack becos too cluttered? If I can, how do I clear it?
Where do we add the displacement map? Since Lumion allows only two maps.
Should we merge the displacement map in the normal maps channel?
Custom displacement map works from 10.3 version of Lumion.
hopefully, CZcams is still around to help Nice tutorials upload "echo into eternity" XD
If i want to subscribe patreon, which texture website do you sugest and good as well as the website giving detail tutorial for lumion. thank you
Ily
how can i export surface 3d from quixel bridge for rendering use?
Do all those textures are with real market tile names and codes?
Are there any free programs that allow you to export the pbr as a glb and gltf file?
