One of the first football themed music I remember from the late 80s. Would not mind it in today's match-ups

A slightly altered modified cleaned up version of this and I might cry. I don't watch the game anymore, but I would tune in just for the intro. I want this played at my funeral.
I wish they could used this theme song for NFL on CBS next season

Just the like the theme for the final year of the NBA on CBS this only last a year

That's an incredible job of piecing these together.
This is my preferred version of the Pots and Pans theme. The guitars made a difference for me.
I like the original more but the 2nd one does make me think of mtv

Always makes me think of the Bengals-Bucaneers CBS intro from 1989. Still have all that prologue memorized.

Fun fact:
The 1989 "electronic" remix of the classic Pots and Pans theme was actually heard on TV before the Week 4 '86 debut of the classic Pots and Pans theme.
Where and when was this played? I seem to recall that Pots and Pans was not used very early on in the ‘86 season like you said!

Prior to ‘89 this version would pretty much just be used for promoting upcoming games, too bad its permanent use only lasted that 1 season of ‘89

Lol this is so over the top but I absolutely love it. The dramatic drums, the screaming electric guitars, all of it gets the blood pumping and the audience ready to watch some football!
