- In this video, I teach you mid lane Katarina fundamentals. Might not be the best show in terms of the game but I'll do this more and show you how effective it is in other videos as well. I'm against an ADC mid but try to control the lane rather than solo kill them.

I've started applying this in my games and I've never hit item spikes so fast than now. Some hard matchups takes longer, but just to play the way you say has given me so much success. Truly grateful!

Phenomenal video! actively not killing the MF is a great way to keep the video realistic! Because everyone can win low elo games if they are 10/0 at 15 minutes. But hardstuck player will not get to that point anyway.

late to the video (and series), but I just wanted to come in and drop the comment that this was amazing, unlike what many good players (more or less automatically) do in these piss elo games and go legendary in the first 5 minutes by figure of speech, you left the lane more or less even and used the time to explain how to deploy your sense of macro,which is fantastic as a guide to low elo because that keeps it realistic and is the best help I can imagine! That earns you an insta sub and I might just try Kat purely from these videos xD

It's funny how your video showed to me, I decided 2 days ago that I would learn how to play with Katarina because I've been playing adc since s5. However, I never searched for any guide about Katarina anywhere, so I guess the destiny is trying to make me actually learn the champion

Alright, but you always win lanes (either by cs/kills/lane control), but what if enemy mid owns you? You just lose lol? Or keep roaming and losing xp and cs? Would be nice to know how to comeback in this kind of situations. Thank you for a ton of content recently!
Thanks for bringing this up because playing from behind is without doubt the hardest thing in League and no one seems to be interested in teaching how to do it lol

When I play Kat the enemy jungle doesn't stop ganking me.. this is so annoying.. and I dunno how to react sometimes
Honestly when enemy’s go back and base you can use that time to roam unless your low so in difficult lanes like that just don’t take dumb trades and loose health
You can’t carry from behind so if you lost lane you have to swallow your pride and support your strong teammates. If you don’t have any strong teammates then all you can do is wait for the enemy to make mistakes. Both of those are variables you can’t control so it’s hard to make an instructional video on it.

Hey, I'M a kat main since rework , dabbled a bit with her prior too the pre-work but fell in love after. I'm a gold ranking player and recently started playing seriously and aiming for high plat.
I feel confident in my roams but I seem too lose too much exp from my roams so I would be 1-2 maybe 3 kills ahead but a level sometimes even two down, I was curious if you do coaching and would be able to look over my footage or spectate one of my games, I also struggle with engages - I'm always the one going in or making unworthy plays, I struggle with the mid game the most with katarina.
I also don't know when full ap > Sunderer ap or vice versa. sorry for the long comment and I'm looking forward too your reply.
Great guide, I find myself in the position of being poked out and lacking priority in the lane in a majority of ranged match ups. Like just stuck in the lane the way you were at level 10 for the majority of the game
Also, I notice there wasn’t any play for dragon soul or baron, this happens a lot to me as well. Where I know from watching pro play and higher elo streamers and try to get my team to play for them by pinging and such. But it just doesn’t work, they don’t follow and if they do they over extend. So I guess like how you played, kinda just following what your team is doing even if they aren’t doing the right thing. I tried lane swapping with the bot lane because they moved mid after enemy bot turret went down so I could farm, but they just engaged 2v3 and died then hard flames me for not going mid… I was so confused because I see streamers swap line all the time once turrets start falling.

Hey, thanks for the great vid, I was wondering, against these high poke-good wave clear champs (Vex, Viktor, Xerath, etc) how do you play? You can’t really walk up to the wave at all because you get poked and so you have to wait at tower for the wave to come to you and then they roam. Is there anything to do as Kat to counter that?
in some really oppressive matchups, u dont have a choice but to let the wave come to u and then roam. but depending on the matchup and the enemy player, u can wiggle ur way into getting the push too. example would be xerath, u can maneuver around his abilities to alleviate pressure off of ur push. you can move to the side to make him decide whether he wants to hit u or the wave. etc

noob question: how can he always see his aa range before hiting? u r always pressing a before hitting an auto?
When winning the lane, we're able to move around before enemy laner. Moving around, we can reach some issues between the teams, assisting our team in those issues gain us advantages before back to lane and making it over and over.
I get it so clean, and it's incredible mindblowing

Typically you play for what you need in each game. He must have felt like he was lacking in health and chose to prioritize health/ap over ap/truedmg in that moment.
just some quick pointers. Did exactly everything you said. I was 28 cs behind this yasuo who only had berserkers boots. And then we ff. You cant just farm and win. You have to pick the correct champ. kat will always lose to yas in cs
