When you said the money isn't there, it can be, I now work in recovery only been in it a year and I have already covered the cost of my flatbed and van with profit. I suppose its if someone is willing to put in the work maybe? I wish you all the best for whatever attracts you next. I may pop in from time to time to see what's going on
Yes it can be there, but its a very challenging industry at the moment for most! Im glad all is well at your end stay safe out there and catch you again soon!

125 + vat for that 20yrs ago, which was a good wage, no coin in it now?
saying that, 9mpg in my mk2 transit brimec 3ltr 4x4 twin wheeler might dent the profit these days... [it had a jeep transfer box i think]

Your lucky to get £50 a call out and about £1.20 ish a mile on club jobs these days!
Industry is really bad at the moment especially with covid and fuel etc

fitted a ford service bodyshell [cos it snapped] in 2000, yep, ford still had a mk2 facelift chassis-cab in stock, so it all fitted, apart from the fkn heaterbox
mate reckoned he seen it in a barn 20 miles away in '19, he says the 1/4 ton front bumper, with a foot of daylight below gave it away
£105 + vat standard police rate then, did 20+ a wk, well it was sunderland...
£20 callout club work, you had to get the repairs to break even, usually did
take care young man, dark nights = lost mates
