Even though Abby and Rose are at the Winter Festival right before the ending, you still have to go to Abby's room according to her schedule, or else she'll magically run back to her room during the festival and get you a game over scene. This really confused me when I played haha.
There are a few lines in the game that are delivered with a weird tone or emphasis. I think the voice actors either recorded their lines all at once without knowing what the other character's lines are in the conversation or dialogue was changed after some of the lines were already recorded.

The chess book actually does have a purpose. The hint for the moon/sun puzzle on senior detective tells you to make "a knight's move", which might be confusing for younger kids who aren't familiar with chess, hence the book.
the mystery book in the attic, while not useful for anything in particular, does explain why nancy's inventory disappears at the end of the game. it's because louis takes everything that she has on her person, just like the person in the book does.

The screwdriver actually isn't "useless"...okay, well, it is, you don't need it for solving the plot, but you can use it to unscrew the metal grate that's at the end of the hall in front of Nancy's room (there's a speaker behind it). I don't believe you ever caught this on any of your gameplay.
I think that some of the spooky events like the blinking stairwell portrait and the moving wooden phoenix are actually real hauntings. The game heavily suggests that there's more than meets the eye with the house, and it seems impossible for Abby to do either of the things mentioned above.

For #17 generally when there are initials like HL/cow it means that someone with the initials cow wrote the document for her then had her sign it. I have to do this at work all the time.
"Everyone in this house expects some degree of privacy." Isn't it weird how Abby has no problem spying on everyone with cameras, but as soon as Nancy tries to help figure out what's going on behind the scenes, she gets kicked out because Abby complains about having no privacy? That's always bugged me.

The signature on the letter that's HL/cow is actually how an employee would sign the letter if they were the ones that typed it, not the boss. So "cow" is the initials of an employee of Helen's! :)
The mystery book tells you how to use the crowbar and the second page is like the ending where the villain hits you on the back of the head and starts packing away the money it's a bit like a premonition of the ending.
I remember being 11 or 12 and playing this game and thinking Charlie was cute lol. He should get out of that nasty basement and come live with me! Lol😝
I managed to skip the séance sequence somehow, and then still talked to Bess and George and Hannah about the séance. Couldn't find the way Abby faked it in her room, though.
Abby has The Sound Recording of A Baby Crying how come You never Hear it anywhere else in The Mansion? The Attic whould have been A Great place to have The Sound go off while looking at The Baby Doll Head

Charlie lived happily ever after, like pretty much every other non-culprit in every game. I don't know why people have such a hard time figuring that out for themselves, much less that they could let it ruin the game for them. Nobody says Crystal Skull is ruined because we didn't hear if things worked out with Henry and his girlfriend.
how is 91"Manully dialing a ten digit number" wrong? is it because people don't manually dial numbers anymore(which lots of people still do at lots of work places by the way) or is it because she was manually dialing a number on a rotary style phone?

Which makes sense, as Nancy is a very old lady.
