Could you show us/me how to make a leather strap mine is 4cm wide and 4mm thick to naturally curve from coming down vertically to rest horizontally on a couch. I tried to make this with curvy loft but it looks ok from the front but bizarre from the side and back. The distance from the drop is short like only +- 15-20cm . I increase the size of it by ten but still not get a realistic looking shape. Imagine and ultra steep road/ride that goes from going down vertically to horizontally sadly we can't put links here. You are my go to star for everything I am a 60+ autodidact SKU learner!

But, many plugins that you told for creating double curved surfaces such as Curviloft, SubD, Vertex Tools are paid. I was trying to create the irregular height vault (Which you demonstrated how to create in Curviloft in another video) or the vault with non coplaner gables on both ends. Is there any free plugin which can create that kinda stuff? Soap skin bubble has a limitation for the vault structures as the Soap Skin ratio behaves weirdly after a certain value, does't it? Pleas suggest. Thanks.
I'll do some with the default tools, but a lot of these structures can be made much easier with extensions, so we'll be doing some of those too. Thanks!

Hey justin. I downloaded the curviloft plugin but each time I want to generate a skin it shows that "Contours cannot be interpreted correctly" and then asks me to empty my selection. I picked both yes and no, but nothing happened my object remained in lines *no face generated. Please what can I do?

hello thank you for replying , the frame which i made does not get skinned using curviloft option after clicking on frame nothing happens . it just shows that the skinning is under process but nothing really happens....
The weld extension takes the individual segments and makes them into uninterrupted line segments. That way when you create your tubes along the lines, they get created smoothly.

Curviloft is free. I didn't use SubD or Vertex Tools in this video.

That means your contours don't form a complete loop if you're using the skinning tool...
