My wife asked “is his seat carpeted?”...the chrome is that good. Amazing as always!
Thanks Dan
Yes those hinges are quite reflective=)

Mike, this build is getting ridiculous. Amazing.
Hello Rodney Thank you.. she's really coming out nice=)
Hi Mike. Now I can see why you had the pros do the head rests. Carlos and Autos International did a beautiful job and the seats look great.
Hello Dan
They are gorgeous and really give the seats a nice quality look
The Autos team is amazing!
Stunning
Thanks Simon and welcome to the channel!
Amazing
Thanks Rick!
Top 👍 bravo
Thanks jean-philppe
MIke, your seat rails look amazing. What did you do to them? Mine are stained and I haven’t been able to get them clean? Thx
Mike, excellent as always! Interested to know how much you have in this project? Or what you project it to be once done? Thanks for the great content!
Hello Adam Thank you
I have not done a final tally as of yet but it looks to be North of 100K for parts and supplies and
also North of 4K hours restoration work.
Hey Mike. Amazing work. I’m about to install redone seats into a ‘69. Can they be slid on as a full seat? Or do they have to be split into halves
Hello Timmy, Its really best if you slide in the lower section first and then attach the backs after seats are mounted in the car. They are heavy and awkward to work with put together. Split is best.
Good luck!
Great video Mike, very meticulous and methodical work 🤓👍🏼. Quick question, I have a 1966 Porsche 912 and it doesn’t have head rests, do you think my seats can take these head rests and will have the pre drilled holes under the vinyl for the brackets on the back? 🤔
I have a 67 and I’m not sure if it’s meant to have head rest or not either.
@@mckinleyd603 I think you’re right, they’re too low for a headrest that will be anywhere near my head
Hello Flat Cap Driver thank you
Thats a good question! If I were to take a guess I would think the tab to mount the headrests would be fabricated on all the inner frames. I could be wrong. but from a production stand point it would make the most sense to set all frames with them regardless wether or not the finished seat was optioned with a head rest. An X-Ray would be able to show you if its there. One way to find out is to pull the nails from the seat back lower cleat area and slide off the cover..you could then feel thru the burlap and locate. Fairly easy to do
Good Luck!
@@MikesRestorations thanks Mike, appreciate the info. I’ll check it out as soon as it’s not cold enough to freeze my fingers off
Nice meticulous job as always. I'm wondering how's the engine coming up?
Thank you Kos Tas
The engine is awaiting rebuild.. we will be digging in soon!
@@MikesRestorations Can't wait to watch it! Congrats for all your hard work. I've been following this journey since the beginning...
@@kostas9818 Wow! Thanks for staying with us throughout this journey ..its been quite a process and discovery
What’s left to do on the.body now? How’s the engine coming along?
Hello Vikram..at the moment we just need to hang the doors and trim them out and then install rear qtr window glass..That work should conclude over the next few weeks.
After that the remainder of the work to be done will be all engine and gear box work.
I wonder what the value of this 911 will be when complete...it’s probably one of the nicest in the world.
$220K plus... No company would every be able to duplicate the skill with the heart and soul that is going into this build.
Hello Mike
Thank you for the supreme complement.
We're definitely in no mans land..
Great job was always Mike! Any chance the car will be done for Parade this year?
Hello Jeff Thank you
Im feeling confident the car will be on the road this year but don't think a target date would be realistic.
I would love to attend for sure!!
@@MikesRestorations see you there! Will have our 968 in attendance but it's a driver and work in progress, nothing at all like your 911!
Rubber seat stoppers available at International Mercantile. Part #M549.
Thanks Chuck
Will check it out!
What was it like having a sit in it?
Hello Mooney

This is one car you won't see at the drive-through.
Hello Gregg
Yes you are probably right=)
