Fatal Motorcycle Crash-Sylmar, CA

Los Angeles Fire Department were dispatched Sunday night at 10:56 P.M at the intersection of Foothill Blvd north of Balboa Blvd.
LAFD arrived at the location 4 minutes after the collision was reported and LAPD arrived 30 minutes after.
One driver told me off camera that the motorcyclist was traveling north on Foothill the same direction he was traveling and passed him at high rated speed, once he came around the uphill with a blind curb he found the motorcycle on the right shoulder and the rider about 15 feet away from the collision. The witness parked and ran towards the rider and performed CPR and was declared deceased by LAFD. He mentioned he works in the medical field and said everyone should know how to perform CPR because you never know if you could save a life.
There was major damage to a metal power pole and they think from the impact the rider hit the power pole and then landed under the rail on the opposite side where the collision occurred.
LAPD blocked the intersections from Balboa and Foothill and Sierra Highway and Foothill Blvd for unknown duration of time.
