I think that turn based needs to be a playstyle option. Too many of us who grew up playing this game have jobs now and other obligations, at least with real time combat it makes it feel more fun and less of a chore to sit and wait for the timer to run its course causing fights to last forever. Although other games like Monster Hunter take hours for fights to go by that's just their design, I feel like with a game like this they'll be more sensible with health, damage, and fight lengths.
Wake me up when the game releases in 2030 >.>

Well.i am a bit skeptical about this remake...why does barrett have sun glasses...?...and why isn't this turn based.....
What is wrong with turn base!!?? Even though I'm disappointed, and it totally takes away the feel of different characters in combat. I love the story, and I really look forward to seeing the story with new technology. I just hope they stayed true to what really made the game what it was!
It shows they seek new following rather than doing this for the old-fans.
Turn base JRPG are now looked at a classical perspective, while action JRPGs while a bit more modern, I find always end up with some pretty boring 1-2 combos and dodges.
Either way doesn't really bother me too much, here for the story.
NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD
Too early to say and I won't do a FFXV where I over-hype everything and get disappointed afterwards, affecting how I enjoyed the game. Hype nonetheless.
Finally some down to earth commentary. Most people were seriously overreacting as if this looked like the second coming of JRPGs. Honestly i wasn't too impressed by this trailer and i fear that by the time it comes out its graphics will look outdated when compared to other major RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077 for example. I mean of course i'm excited and looking forward for it but at least graphically i expected something more impressive for a game that carries the weight of FFVII's title.
That’s a concern I have as well, especially as we’re going into PS5/Xbox...whatever territory. It won’t take long to look dated (hell if you really look close it already does in some areas).

I am assuming that the game will SUCK given it is going to be an action RPG.
