@@altontowersmusic6865 From what I've heard other people say, that seems to be a common thing with new B&Ms. Give her some time to get properly run in and it should be gone
It's a common issue with most b&m coasters it's like a new house takes a while to settle in the rattle will be gone In a month or so I'd expect just give the girl time
I think wheels too, the roar not the same just watched a 1994 POV , the wheels make the roar don’t they, and def not a quick yet, like you said in your videos Shawn it needs to warm up
The retheming of Nemesis and Forbidden Valley is truly amazing. Probably the best renovation job done in a british theme park ever. Now please, for the love of all that is good, do something about that nasty Galactica tunnel 🙏😆 Theme Galactica to something Phalanx related trying to contain Nemesis from the skies. Boom, Forbidden Valley becomes flawless.
@@altontowersmusic6865 I really hope they do. And once they've finished glamming up Forbidden Valley, perhaps a lil TLC for my beloved Smiler. Bring back the loreeee
I am amazed that people are so easily pleased these days. I need to take a closer look at all that, as to me it looks...well...it looks nothing like the hype. I should rally go back there for a day or two to compare it to how it was in the 90s. I remember the theming and queue areas for the mine train and rapids ride were pretty good, so was gloomy wood and when Nemesis opened originally the whole area was revamped, older stuff like the Thunder Looper went along with the coaster that was there the same as the one in the Black Hole. This was the transition period when the park was getting truly serious about its rides and coasters. Before then there were things like Thunder Looper, Wave Swinger and 1001 Nights Magic Carpet etc. All big rides, but standard off the shelf thrill rides that you could find in other parks. The Thunder Looper was the same as the one that used to be in Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Once the 90s began they started to make Alton Towers more unique with its own special coasters like Nemesis and the Haunted Mansion style Gloomy Wood. It continues to this day with Smiler and Oblivion and the Wooden Coaster...what is that one called? I really need to have another trip there for old times sake...
Let’s hope they manage to maintain the effects better from now on. The Curse of Alton Manor has been operational for a year and the effects are still working brilliantly on there.
The layout is exactly the same as before! New track from the top of the lift hill to the start of the brake run, so the ride is a lot smoother than before. But no changes to the layout at all.
What I noticed is at the top of the lift hill, into the first turn, its now all block paving and queue line. And it looks horrible. When you got to the top of the hill and that first drop off its was all trees and shrubs under you as it wove through the canopy and the dropped into the first rocky valley as it picked up speed. It added to it all by being in the trees as you flew over the top and through them. The whole ride is now dominated by the lengthy queue fencing. I get that it might need it, to guide the large numbers of people that will ride it. But it looks exactly what it is, a caged queue system and its so open and exposed, and not as well themed and hidden as the one at Gloomy wood. It looks like a badly tacked on afterthought and just really naff, like a cheap fairground ride system from a seaside dive of a park and not something like the standard Alton Towers used to aim for. As it is now you will spend more time walking the queue line than you will riding the actually coaster...its pretty sad.
Looks super smooth! You can also hear the rattle that @themeparkworldwide talks about in his videos!
Let’s hope it’s just an issue with the wheels, and not something else underlying 😬

Hopefully not long before there are more exciting changes to Forbidden Valley!

The new projections on The Smiler look excellent! Again, just hope they stay!

Did I miss anything? 🤣
Proud to be the first like🔥
Can't wait to get on it at scaryfest
Was the mist on the 0 g roll not on? That makes the element 10x better!
This was filmed the day before opening day so it wasn’t switched on.

Can you do off ride video of this
theme park direct, has that. AT may copy that over eventually.
the theming off ride is incredible for sure.
I’ll get one uploaded as soon as I can!

Why such a low resolution video, filmed on a rainy day with construction still going on? The Phalanx have no respect for Nemesis.
