hmmm The strategy would seem to be you use mobile units to fight a delaying action until you must make a stand at where ever: Military base, hospital etc.
Unless a specific mission, if you have a vehicle you retreat and save ammo for the day you don't have a vehicle. There was no reason to lose those troops, poor leadersip.
